Can I ask, can we create a student UNC email if we have not accepted the offer yet? This financial form says it will do correspondence with my UNC student email! But my acceptance is based on the financial aid really, so I haven’t accepted yet.
Also, Do I have a PID yet? I am on Carolina Connect, but this financial aid form is asking for my PID and IDK!
Yes, you can create a UNC email if you have created an onyen. Check here for more info
on creating your onyen and email if needed: https://admissions.unc.edu/enroll/transfer-checklist/ Yes, you have a PID. The site to find it is here: https://pid.itsapps.unc.edu/PIDCreate/jsp/wmp.jsp
@GingerSnaphi
Thank you!
***EDIT:
that first link hasn’t been working on my pc, it won’t load correctly to where I can see all the text.
***EDIT 2:
Ok, I tried a different browser, it worked now!
It’s really awesome that UNC is so generous. I hope the laptop grant is a good sign for my financial aid award. I had to send in a verification form which I just did electronically so hopefully, my award will be ready soon. As an out of state student, aid makes a huge difference. I had to pay my tuition at USC entirely out of loans so I really don’t want to have to do that again.
I was also selected to verify my 2016 income but it says it could take up to 2 weeks to process.
I also submitted a form today asking for reconsideration since my financial situation has changed dramatically.
Wonder if they’re related?
I’m glad y’all are getting your packages and that they look nice!
I finally got my decision today, and I made it! So now, I’m just trying to play catch up.
I’m not sure why my application was under review past the original decision release date, but I didn’t have to do anything extra after I received that email about my delayed decision.
Congrats on your acceptance! @dogmom17
Hopefully this verification is resolved soon and my financial documents are processed. If the ones I emailed are not accepted I have to wait two weeks for the IRS to send them. My being able to attend UNC is dependent on my financial aid package.
@AwkwardNewYorker I hope so too. I won’t be able to attend without financial aid so I hope they’re able to process everything soon and don’t need any additional documents.

this website will give you an idea how much you have to pay after need-based aid for OOS at UNC, it’s around 30k include the housing and meal.
This is weird…Whenever I try to login to schedule an appointment for advising it says I’m not a student. Anyone having this issue?
@Blah1234 I’m having the same issue but I think it’s going to open up soon my connect Carolina had nothing about enrollment till around 6 or 7 yesterday (4/9) so I guess it’s just taking time to update your student status on all websites
What happens if you pay the deposit but then decide not to go? Do you just not get your deposit back? I want to be able to register for classes next week but I’m still waiting on my financial aid docs to get processed.
How many of you have your transfer credit evaluation?
The enrollment deposit is non-refundable and goes towards paying tuition for your first semester. By the way, registration starts on Thursday if you have paid the deposit or accepted the offer of admission but deferred paying the deposit for financial aid. @butfirstcoffee I have not received my transfer credit report yet @JafetH7
Are transfers always behind in terms of regeistration? Since we have 2 less terms in residence than our actual class year. Or will be register the same time as our class once our transfers credits come in? (I know we’ll be last for Fall 2018, but what about later?)
Is anyone else here an Exercise science major? I’m getting my undergrad in that and hopefully will be accepted into the DPT graduate program.
Just got accepted! So happy right now
I applied for business. I go to a California CC with a 4.0 GPA and 47 credits. Taking 15 credits this spring. SAT was 1270/1600, although I am not sure if they consider it since I will have 60+ credits. High-School was only a GED.
Congrats! Sorry you had to wait longer than most of us, but I’m sure it was worth the wait lol. @Vincent1997
