UNC Chapel Hill chances?

I've recently fallen in love with this school. I live in Georgia, but literally 20 minutes from North Carolina. Unfortunately, I'm still a Georgia resident.
VERY small high school. Graduating class of 10, and I'm ranked #1. No AP classes available, but we do have ACCEL dual enrollment classes through a local LAC. In 11th and 12th, 8 out of my 14 classes have been ACCEL (I've taken basically all that are available... the only one I haven't taken was a sophomore American History class that the #2 in my class failed last year, and I didn't want to risk anything). My GPA is 3.88 unweighted (would be higher, but my grades in 9th grade weren't fantastic). SAT 2050 (780 CR, 610 M, 660 W, 8 essay). ACT 26 (33 R, 21 M, 23 Sc, 26 Eng, comb E&WR 25, 8 essay)

Activities: JV and V volleyball, 9-12
Cheerleading (captain 12) 9-12
Yearbook 9&10
Fine Arts (drama/speech) 9-12 (top 6 in nation, 11th grade)
Fine Arts photography&sketching 9-12
Farm helper (family)
Praise Band in school
Community service with my school
Tutoring job

I really love this school. Chances please?

I suggest you use your SAT score to apply, and try to raise 100 points. For this, I will say high match!
Chance back?

Due to your Georgia residency, I’ll say Low Reach/Reach

^ Nonsense. Your SAT score is more than enough to make you competitive at UNC. You’re scores are above the average of applicants and your GPA is also competitive. Despite your out of state status, I’d say it’s a match.

Unfortunately I agree with jk031004. My dd was rejected last year with a 34 ACT and a 1470/2150 SAT and a 4.0 unweighted and 4.5 weighted - 7 AP’s and more EC’s. The stats that they put on their website aren’t even close to what you need to get in out of state. I’d say try the SAT one more time and don’t send the ACT. Goodluck!

Thanks! I’m going to take the SAT again and really work on bringing my math up.

I think you are a strong candidate! Hope everything works out in your favor!
