Is anyone here OOS? Just curious.
My son is OOS, he has gotten into Univ. Richmond, NC State and Uga, in the finals for the “big” scholarships for all three, so hopeful here, BUT, he’s leaning uga and foundation scholars, so who knows. takes some pressure off though.
OOS here! Super nervous UNC is probably number two or three!
My D is OOS…she has a few other acceptances in hand (with uChicago being her best) but would very much like to have UNC too…a great school and more affordable than chicago…but she and I both realize that chances are dim…
She also has zero hooks. She’s a girl (and they need boys…they’re already tilting 60% women)…she’s east-coast (and surely they’d like more states west of the MIssissippi) and her stats are solid…but not super star.
I am OOS
My S is OOS, too.
OOS, UNC is my #1, Got into FSU full scholarship and Georgia Tech last week so if I don’t get in, it won’t be the end of the world.
@college67 I am out of state for both OSU and UNC! I am going to be doing some sort of business major with international and language studies! How about your son?
@SouthernHope I am OOS and in the same exact position as your daughter…I have zero hooks! Just hoping my leadership and extra curriculars stand out!
Is there a possibility that decisions will be posted today?
@bern2015 I was seriously hoping that decisions would be posted today, but they didn’t post a “how to view your decision” page on the blog, nor did we receive any emails, so I don’t think so
Typically, an e-mail is also sent out 1 or 2 days before decisions are posted. No one has reported receiving such an e-mail and the blog has not indicated a decision date release, so this week is out. Probably the 23rd.
For all of the OOS applicants, where are y’all from? I’m from Southern California, so I’m hoping that my location makes me stand out as well!
going to michigan next year, was going to wait to see what carolina said but michigan has been my dream for years…good luck to everyone next week i hope it goes well
Congrats, @goblue100. Michigan’s a great school!
Also, the only reason it was the 30th last year was because of snow storms, so it’s not likely it’ll be that late again/23rd is reasonable?
I meant to say it’s reasonable to hope for the 23rd, not the opposite haha
@saraho3097 my son is going for political science major. We are instate for Chapel Hill. He has the grades and EC’s so I am hoping we hear good news. He loved Ohio but even with the money they gave him it is still more expensive then Chapel Hill. We are very anxious :). If you get into both how are you going to decide between Chapel Hill and Ohio?
OOS from Ivory Coast!!! Hope the remote location helps because I’m also a US citizen
I keep having this stupid fantasy that my acceptance letter will be in the mail tomorrow and that UNC just wanted to surprise us all by sending acceptances the “old fashioned” way.
