I recently received an email from the Admissions Blog, and the first sentence was “Accepted Students, Congratulations, you’re in. I would like to be one of the first to welcome you to the Tar Heel family!” I was unfortunately given false hope and now feel more anxious than ever to receive my decisions… ahaha ehhhh…
But how awesome was it for that one moment;)
@52balletvieta wait, why did you receive that email?
I received that too…today…
Accepted Students,
Congratulations, you’re in. I would like to be one of the first to welcome you to the Tar Heel family! Around this time every year, I reminisce on the day that I was accepted into UNC…
Guess…it’s just a blog…
on connectcarolina under academics there is now a scroll box that gives options like “Apply for graduation”, “Grades” Withdraw from UNC", etc
I dont think this has always been there but im not sure…does anyone else have it?
@agc1998 It was part of an weekly UNC Admission Blog
@unchopeful98 …I have it too…not sure since when though
I read that blog posting yesterday and happily daydreamed that it was written for us. I am assuming you guys are subscribed to the blog and simply received email notification of the new blog posting. Good Luck later this week.
^^ - Yes, I have the new options as well. Just a few more days at the most.
where is this blog posting? can someone link it?
Yeah I don’t see this on the UNC admissions website
it used to be here:
http://admissions.unc.edu/tar-heel-blog/2016/01/25/that-accepted-feeling/
looks like they removed it… probably because everyone was getting confused
It was originally linked from this twitter post: https://twitter.com/UNCAdmissions/status/691715402624274432
@52balletvieta
how would you choose UVA vs UNC ?
Could that mean that the decisions are being released today or tomorrow? Or is that blog post different from the one they post the day before decisions are released?
The one they post the day before explains how to view your decisions. Hopefully it will be posted today!
I also noticed the change too - and I don’t think it was there before for me.
Really nervous about tomorrow. I’m OOS with a 4.4 and a 28. Although I have a lot of extracurriculars and have taken all the AP classes my school offers (all 4 of them, ugh ) and good recommendations. I’m hoping being a first generation college student will help but I’m really worried my act score won’t get me in. Any thoughts?
We don’t even know it’s going to come out tomorrow…
@Erewhon Its pretty much 100% confirmed
