Which of these two would be a better use of my next four years

I would say UNC even though UGA has a very good honors program.

also it depends on your major. if you are going into business then UNC is the one you would want to go to.

Do you mean that you are in-state at UGA or OOS at both schools. If you are in-state at UGA and in the honors program I would definately go with UGA. If you are OOS at both schools then it is just a matter of choice. I think UGA honors and UNC are probably about equal. Both schools are big sports school and UGA is somewhat larger than UNC. The student body and campuses are similar so I would just visit both and visit campusdirt.com when making your final decision. Like I said if you are in-state at UGA it is a no brainer. Good Luck on your final decision.

Hi- I am instate in Georgia and I got accepted to UGA Honors and UNC. I was really excited about UNC and I visited the campus a couple of weeks ago. However, UNC will cost my family 25k/year ... UGA Honors will cost my family about 5k/year. I think I have to end up going to UGA Honors because for me UNC will cost the same as a private school (minus the loans). UNC probably isn't worth the 25k/year, right (I would like to have some money go onto graduate school as well)?

how would you compare the social scenes between UGA and UNC. I visted UGA and UNC both. The bars at UGA and the college town seemed ubeatable. The frat scene at UGA seemed big too. I know alot about the academics at UNC but not much about the social scene. What do you think?
