Underage drinking in frats and sorities?

<p>Since the legal drinking age is 21, are there a lot of underaged drinking in frat and soritity parties and such?</p>

<p>Most of the students at frat parties are underclassmen. Most underclassmen are under 21. I don't know, man...</p>

<p>they could add a DOB on the ID card and require frats to card every single person who enters their house...</p>

<p>not sure how realistic this could be though...does cornell have authority over the IFC? not sure how such an extreme policy would work</p>

<p>Of course. But I bleive they have something called "dry houses." Mainly in sororities, where drinking is really not allowed.</p>

<p>But its naive to even THINK that underage drinking doesn't go on in frats that are composed of people under 21.</p>

<p>Even my friends at MIT report an active drinking scene on campus.</p>

<p>The party scene at Cornell is easily avoidable, although if you happen to be opposed to it I would encourage you not to be openly judgmental about it.</p>

<p>But really, ALL colleges have underage drinking; this includes Christian col;leges and dorms with substance-free policies. You can't change it, so just be smart. Doesn't mean you have to drink.</p>

<p>yeah be careful. i was at my girlfriend's college drinking and it got busted because of a nasty RA. i'm banned from her school for 5 years... (both a huge disappointment and accomplisment)</p>

<p>While you guys are laughing....I toured a certain private school last summer and asked about dorm parties, etc. The tour guide, with a straight face, said: oh, no, nothing like that happens here bcos the drinking age is 21 in this state. :D</p>

<p>I've already found plenty of drinking in high school. but underage sex? isnt the age in NY 17.. so idk. how many 16 year olds are at cornell..</p>
