<p>Ok I understand that there is no pre-med major at a lot of colleges, but there is the required courses to take. Does it really matter what major you have other than that it will benefit you on the MCAT? Let's say I major in something other than the sciences like economics, accounting, engineering, etc. Will majoring in something unrelated to science be a bad idea for med-school?</p>
<p>No, medical schools do not care what you major in. They care about your MCAT score, your GPA (overall and science), and whether you completed the pre-med courses. You could major in music, and still get into med school.</p>
