I've used 8 Units for Phase 1(technically 4 since I waitlisted one of my course).

Will there be a unit cap on Phase 1? If there is, will the 2.5 units I did not use from Phase 1 be added to the cap for Phase 2?

Thanks!

You should still be able to sign up for a soft cap up to 16 units regardless ^^ Phase 1 units wouldn’t disappear I’d imagine.

So I can sign up for an additional 16 units via Phase 2 (planning to waitlist & have back up classes)?

for the purposes of telebears caps, waitlists are identical to being registered in the class. you have burned up those units unless you drop the class.

Phase I limit is that the total units can’t exceed 10.5

Phase II limit is different. As long as your total units are less than 16, you can add one more class. That total of 16 includes all the phase I units and that means also the waitlist units.

You signed up for 8 units in phase I (4 in a confirmed class and 4 waitlisting).

In phase II, you could add two 4 unit classes and then your total would be 16. However, you might add a 4 unit, a 3 unit and then a 4 unit to get to 19. That would work because after the first two are added, you are at 15 units, so the last add of the 4 unit class will be allowed. If you tried it in this sequence - 4 unit, 4 unit then 3 unit - you would not get into that last class. After the first two, you would be at 16 units and telebears would reject the attempt to add the last class. Moral - save the big unit class for the last if you need to go well above 16.

Then in the adjustment phase you can increase further, because the 16 unit limit is gone, but then the maximum is set by the policy of your college. You would need permission to go above the college limit. CoC limits to 19.5, L&S limits to 20.5, etc.

Thanks for the detailed response Rider! I’m more comforted about tomorrow telebear appointment then :D!
