I’m taking 16 units. How about you?
Well, the advisors recommend freshmen take 12 units cuz it’s their first quarter and blah blah blah. 12 units is the minimum to become a full-time student.

i am takinggg 17 D:

wow! what classes r u taking?

i’m taking 19

14 units

5 units-CHASS Connect
4 units-English 1A
5 units-Inequality in American Society

Average is 16 units/4 classes…but I want my first quarter to smooth/easy,plus I have unit credits from my AP classes.

4 classes.

4,4,4,5 = 17 :)

eng1a, hist 51, cs8, math4. i reckon those are manageable classes… except for hist 51 i really don’t know what to expect.

19 -
really should be 16, but the chem lab plus learning community make it 19 :/

I’m taking 19 units

Chass - Islam
Cultural Anthropolgy
Global History
MacroEcon

Is anyone taking any the above classes as well?

If you already know who your professor is I advice you to go to grademyprofessor.com which will be a handy website throughout your college career

Students post comments about past teachers they have and let students know the inside scoop about how easy/hard class is, how the teacher grades, if they are nice, etc

Check it out!

Do you mean ratemyprofessor.com

Yeah, i’ve never heard of grademyprofessors.com

anyway, I thought the standard amount were 3 classes per quarter?

for freshmen, anyway

Dang people with 19 units. GL
Im taking 16units

16 units, fun…

16 units isn’t bad. It’s about the average that everyone takes because people typically take 4 classes which are usually worth 4 units each.

I had 13 units/3 classes for fall quarter (typical load for freshman first quarter), 18 units/4 classes for winter quarter and 18 units/5 classes (one was a 1-unit freshman seminar though) for spring quarter.

Even the units are sort of unreliable… I had a 5-unit music class that was way easier than my 4-unit history class the same quarter. So, don’t worry too much about it.

It would be funny if they had some sort of 20 unit superclass lol

i’m just taking 15 units

I have 19 units

lol…i’m taking 3 classes…so would that make it 13 or 12 credit?
Anyways, i hit the minimum mark.

I tried to stay away from 4 classes since i’ll probably get a bit too excited the first quarter to do any real studying but i also took summer school so i got credits from that too =D
