got a question on units. i took AP US History and it gives me credit for 5.3 units. However, I took a class that takes up the units that I get from the AP test (3 units). In this case, it's a duplicate set of units, and therefore only one will count.

My problem right now is that with the AP credits, 5.3, i have 62 units out of the 60 required. without the 5.3, though, i have 59.7

do you guys know how the UCs do this? Precedence for units given? AP or a class taken? and if they take the class I took, what do they do with .x units? will they round the 59.7 up?

That is quite a strange scenario… cuz my AP credits are always rounded numbers.
I think you can bargain with the School’s registrar to choose which one.

i just talked to my friend at SD and he said i could do that. ugh. i still haven’t gotten any indicators that i’ll be accepted despite TAG though… I wonder… two more days.

Hmmmm. I know that if you take both a COLLEGE-level class and the corresponding AP test, you get both credits, but I don’t know about high school class credits.

I think either they will make the decision most beneficial to you when counting your credits, or if not you should just call them up. I don’t think there should be any trouble in getting that sorted out considering your circumstances.
