University of California Transfer Students Fall 2007 OFFICIAL THREAD!!!

hw 323 - Yes I go to CCSF, and I love it.

LaxAttack09 - Maybe it is because of my major (business econ) that UCSB has a site that askes me to update my major prep. Check out this screen shot of the web site!http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/7256/ucsbmajorpreptm6.jpg

hmm i logged into the same ucsb site but there was no form for me (poli sci), so maybe its just major specific.

Did you see the image that I uploaded?

yeah I did, i have the same menu looking thing, except on the update page it says "updated grades received on 2/1" or something like that

Thanks for all the helpful replies.

It must be major specific, because I don't see that either.

is it absolutely eccential that u send a transcript? did any of u get an e-mail from any uc's telling u to send a transcript?

also, exactly how important is spring grades? can a competitive uc reject u if u, a 4.0 student, got a couple c's in ur last semestre? i'm not planning to slack off this semestre, but i just have too much classes to keep up with my previous high gpa.

do uc's put some admitted applicants in a provisional status? especially if u are applying with only one semestre of ccc completed with one semestre in progress?

Ya man I think it's just major specific because I'm a history major and didn't get that. Good luck :)

sauron - you WILL NOT send transcripts until you are accepted and submit your Statement of Intent to Register to ONE school. Then that school will ask you for a transcript.

I don't see that happing over C's
If your worried you might get a C, just take it pass or fail.

Hey guys,

I applied as a Neurobiology major to UCB (College of Letters and Science). I saw that a few people haven't yet completed their prerequisites for their major and I was wondering if Neurobiology/MCB prereqs can be taken during first semester at UCB?

I still have to take a last quarter of Organic Chemistry and I dont have space next quarter because I'm taking 2 classes for the reading/composition requirement : (

Thanks ckdunton for response. I have it updated already :)

For the Berkeley supplemental application, once it's updated, we don't have to do anything else to it right? Like no submit form, etc...

anytime pellman :) and yeah, i was a little confused about that too. i received an email from berkeley about a week ago reminding me to finish my app update. i thought maybe i hadnt clicked submit or something, but i guess once u hit update under each section that does it. ugh i just cant believe theyre gonna make us wait almost another 3 months to find out haha :-/

the lucky ones might get a regent letter :P

when would regent letters come out?

after frosh decisions I'm guessing

I'm sorry, but what are regents letters? are they just special letters that are sent out early to the most qualified applicants?

regent's scholarship

if you qualify to be a finalist, you're in at the school

are these scholarships that you automatically apply for when you apply to a UC? or do you have to write another essay of some sort?

does berkeley offer regent's scholarships?

I'm wondering the same thing...is that the same as the alumni leadership & achievement scholorships? I didn't see anything on Berkeley's list of scholorships for regent's scholorship.
