University of Florida Business school

I’m considering on going to the Penn State University Park or the University of Florida

I would be an OOS at both universities. I want to pursue a major of either marketing or finance. I am torn between these 2 schools and don’t which one to choose, because I believe they are all good schools where I can have fun and be successful later on in life. I was wondering how good the University of Florida’s business school is, like internship oppurtunites, and job placement rate. Is UF’s business school better than Penn State’s or are they equal?

Most rankings will have Penn State’s business school slightly ahead of UF. However, both schools are pretty close in the rankings, so practically there would be little difference between the two. The biggest difference would be geographical and where you want to live immediately after graduation.

At either school, if choosing between marketing and finance, go finance.

Depending on what state you live in, one might be cheaper than the other. Also, if you’re looking for a higher job placement, you should choose something you enjoy doing. For example, if you are a finance major but don’t like it, you won’t push yourself to get internships or make yourself better in the field, and job recruiters will be able to tell that you’re not passionate about the job you’re applying for. I’m sure you will be successful at either school, as long as you do something you actually like.
