University of Florida CALS Applicants (Fall 2015) Transfers

How is everyone doing? I hope all those who had not heard back from admissions yet, have been accepted! Also, for those of you who have been accepted for Fall’15, congratulations and welcome to the GatorNation. Let’s discuss which Preview everyone signed up for!!! Also, are you living on or off campus?! Which apartment complex?! We are a rare group of people. CALS majors are intelligent and want to make a change. Try to make a friend!

WAS JUST ACCEPTED TODAY! I was going a little crazy calling every day this week but in case someone is still waiting, try to be patient you will get your answer. I’ll be signing up for the late August preview and I’ll be moving there the 7th from Miami. How is everyone else doing? Any future vet students that would like to link up?

@FutureVet2017 I’m signed up for the Preview tomorrow. I’m living off campus in West 20 (formerly known as The Estates). I have a few friends that lived there this past year and they really liked it

@UFVet0822 im happy for you, it was lovely meeting you! It’s funny that we met right away practically! I’m sure we will have a ton of classes together! What’s your class schedule like?

Also, for those who have been accepted, what is an idea of your fall class schedule

Mine: Intro Animal Science
Principle Animal Nutrition
Organic Chem1
Equine Health Management
Careers In the Livestock Industry

Congrats to all who were accepted! I remember sitting here 2 years ago going through the same thing! It sure felt great to get that acceptance! I don’t see anyone who is in my major, but I’m Ag Ed and am entering my last semester on campus in the fall. I do my student teaching in the spring. It flies by! Enjoy it!

@agmama Wow! last semester already?! Time does fly

HEY! I got accepted too! I have just been so busy that I haven’t had time to check in on here.

I can’t wait to see what type of people I meet at CALS.

I do have a question regarding the required immunization, I found out I got accepted really late, so I am pressed for time getting the paperwork and doctor visit done…(I am going first thing monday morning to the doctor)

How strict are they about turning the immunization papers 15 days prior to preview/orientation day? Ill have them but I may be shy of 15 days before my preview…I think ill be 13 days before that day…will this really mess me up?

Now after getting in to the school I have all this stuff I gotta do right so I dont mess up!
THE STRESS IS BACK!!!

(but no where as stressful as waiting for acceptance)

My son’s girlfriend did not have her immunization papers and still went to the July preview. They did not let her register, but they said that was because she is still in Summer classes and her final grades are not in. Not sure it will be the same for you, just letting you know.

You should be fine for Preview. Bring a copy of your immunization records to preview just in case.

Very exciting. my daughter just got accepted into the animal science program (pre-professional track to vet school) for spring term tem. Housing seems to be a problem. someone mentioned living off campus (west 20). how do you get off campus housing? how do you travel to school? is public transportation easy, safe and affordable. can I have some feedbacks and some phone numbers or websites. thanks
