University of Florida Spring 2017 Transfers

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your gatorlink login information to check the status of your application after submitting it?

@gators987 It can take up to 5 hours or a day. You can contact the help desk if you did not receive it.

@gators987 I hadn’t received mine a week after I applied, all I did was just call the help desk (352-392-4357) and they I got an email with the invitation code within 5 minutes.

Hi all, I was accepted to transfer to UF Spring '17 just tonight. Officially applied 8/14. Final transcript received 8/24. The response was a lot quicker than anticipated but obviously gladly received all the same! Stats below:

Current College: Eastern Florida State College
Current GPA: 3.87
Pre-Professional GPA: 4.0
College/Major: College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (Animal Biology degree)
President’s List past 3 semesters. Phi Theta Kappa member.

Work hard and good luck to everyone.

Hey. I talked to Fisher School of Accounting they said they will be doing credentials Sept 15, getting a committee together and best guest is beginning of October for admission decisions. So there you go accounting majors. Rest easy until end of September. :-/

The application status has been same for a month now. any idea how long will it take for admission decision for CS major?

@gatorgina Congratulations on your acceptance!! That must have been exciting. I too am coming from EFSC. I applied on August 6th and my final transcript was received on August 25th. You received a very quick response. I hope to hear from them soon. I’m going for a Geography degree. Did you receive an email or did you find out from checking your application status on their website?

@gatorgina Congrats on the acceptance! @Gator_01 Same here, app has had the same exact look for over a month… Yet plenty of people I know have already been accepted to CLAS so I think it is just a matter of luck at this point (in terms of time).

I just spoke with UF this morning and I was advised that it would be a couple of weeks before any decisions would be made for CLAS. They said that the month of September they will be going through a lot of the applications. My application has looked the same for a bit. If you received an email from UF indicating that your application is processing and sent for evaluation, that means that you’re in the “queue” for them to start making final decisions (Per UF Admin phone agent).

"Your application for admission to the University of Florida for the Spring 2017 term has been referred to your college for a final decision. "

Should know any time soon!

I have not received an e-mail. I looked on my app status via the GatorLink and it changed to the acceptance reading,

“Congratulations!!! Your application to the University of Florida for the Spring 2017 term has been approved!
Official notification will arrive by mail, including the conditions of your admission as well as important orientation information. Welcome to the Gator Nation!”

Then below it says welcome to the college of ag. and life sciences w/ conditions of my admission, which is basically finishing my A.A. and the current chemistry class I’m in.

@TheDefeater that’s awesome news. I know that it’s only a couple of days from that point to reach a final decision. Best of luck!! Which college are you apply to? CLAS, CALS?

@gatorgina thank you. I’ve been checking every day. No pressure right…lol I’m sure you’ll do well in your classes this semester to complete your AA.

@cutlass516 Yea, I’m super anxious to be honest. I’ll take a cold yes or no as desicion at this point… And I’m applying to CLAS

@TheDefeater Nice. I’m applying there too. I’m sure you’re anxious. Hope all goes well with that. I got accepted into my backup school (FAU). So at least if UF doesn’t pan out I can still go to school somewhere. UF and FAU are the only Florida Universities that off 100% online Geography degrees. I work for a government contracting company in Central Florida and it would be tough to travel to Gainesville every week.

Would you be attending at the physical campus?

@cutlass516 Very nice, and yeah I am planning to move to Gainesville If I am accepted, I did get accepted into FSU already so that’s my backup, although I really don’t see myself living in Tallahassee to be honest…

@Gator_01
I’m applying as a transfer student for CS as well. However, they have to different programs. One is in the CLAS and the other one is in the CISE.
I have completed Cal 1, 2, and 3, Phy 1 with Lab, and Chm 1 with lab. Currently taking Phy 2 with lab.
Can you tell me if I am missing any of the critical tracking courses. I have not been able to find this info for the CISE program. I already sent an email but no reply so far.

Best luck to you.

@jats2k9

“Complete MAC 2311, MAC 2312, MAC 2313, and PHY 2053 or 2048 w/ lab. Students are also strongly encouraged to complete PHY 2054 w/ lab or PHY 2049 w/ lab to avoid splitting the sequence. Must typically have a minimum 2.5 overall GPA to be competitive. Must typically have a minimum 2.5 GPA on all attempts of these courses to be competitive.”

Thanks a lot, @TheDefeater.

Those are the critical tracking for the CS CLAS program, but I cannot find the critical tracking for the CS in the College of Engineering. The reason I’m asking is because I’m afraid that they might ask for Differential Equations but I have not been able to find this info.

Right my bad, @jats2k9 here you go:

Has anyone else been accepted to CALS yet?
