University of Illinois admitted hundreds of applicants based largely on their political connections.

does this mean I have better chances next year since I have no connections

does anyone know their 2009 undergrad acceptance rate?

“Earlier this week he called for the resignation of the university’s president and any trustees involved with the list of applicants.”

Does that mean they will fire the university’s president or did they just suggest to him/her to resign?

This is German. There was already a thread about this. I keep getting emails from the president about how disappointed he is and how he has the utmost confidence in the admissions staff, but it just sounds disingenuous and forced to me. I hope he resigns or gets forced out. I say this as a recent alum. For those of you already applying or going there, this really shouldn’t affect you at all, or the quality of education. In fact, it was only a couple dozen kids out of the 7000-ish in each class, so its pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things, just dishonest.
