I was told when I called that it would not be today. Just checked canelink again for 6PM, and no updates.
Most likely @2022AB2102
Guys I got an update. I re-read the email that I got from FedEx and it said that my package is scheduled to be shipped on Feb. 1st. I think this most likely means that emails will go out on Monday.
I emailed my regional rep about a week and a half ago. Got the standard “Early February”. Slow and not helpful response.
That also might mean that decisions online could come out beforehand, since acceptance packages usually arrive after it’s been released online.
I’m still freaking out though!!!
What’s the latest it can come out at night? (AKA when do I stop checking my inbox?)
How are you gonna call it early action when it’s already february.
@human354 not happening, at least not today. I’m also compulsively checking canelink. I’m going to stop for today
I think they will release them the same date that they MAiL the packages. So, this could mean thursday they will be released online because 1) its early feb. 2) students are saying it will be mailed on thursday. Also, I’m very upset with the way Miami has handled this whole situation. They should have known they would get anxious students calling their office, and prepared EVERYONE in the admission dept. to say the same thing. I don’t get how 1 can say “by the end of the week” and another can say “next week”. It shows they are either lying, or not on the same page, and I bet its the latter. Very unprofessional.
Agreed completely. @jackd341
@ucfdefere where on the cane link site did you check, for the future? was it the “[insert name] student center” /message center?
I agree! It’s so frustrating, I’m constantly holding my breath while checking for these results
@Frank110 why would they fedex acceptance packages?
never been to the cane link site before, but under main menu/self service/student center/application status, theres a big green circle that says “this application is COMPLETE” and has all of the info about which program I applied to. Is this normal, and what does it mean?
actually it was under main menu/self service/student center/admissions, and admisssions was marked complete with my application (!)
I’m not sure why but I like to wait till the last day to submit my application and I submitted my EA for Univeristy of Miami at 11:00 that night, even though I finished it months before that I wanted to make sure it was perfect. I turned it in before it struck 12. However, university of Miami downloaded it 11/02/17, does anyone know if this would be a problem. I just found out about this page
What does this mean???
doubt it; im sure they expect stuff like that all of the time!! I mean it’s when THEY downloaded it, not when YOU submitted it, so I think u should be good
@human354 means your file is complete. You don’t need to submit any extra documents
