University of Miami Fall 2022 Transfer Applicants

Found this on Reddit:

“Hey! So make sure you received the email saying your application is ready for review. They basically confirm in that email that you dont have missing documents. If you already got this, then you will hear back mid-april (around the 14th). If you haven’t received this email, you may be notified the last week of april or even sometime in may. The decisions go out on a rolling basis, the first batch came out March 31st and new batches will come out every two weeks.”

Thank you!!! So seems like we should hear around April 14th

I wonder if there’s a possibility we may hear March 31st. I would hope so but I doubt it

It would be nice lol.

Is UM your first choice? For me it is lol I’m super anxious to hear my decision

I wouldn’t say it’s my first choice. It’s definitely a really good school that I would consider if I got in. I recently got into Tulane. I haven’t heard from UNC, Vandy, and UVA, which one of those would be my first choice.

That’s awesome ! Congratulations!! I live in Miami and I would like to stay near home. I didn’t apply anywhere out of state.

Ah ok cool. What school are you transferring out of? Where else did you apply?

I am transferring out of Miami Dade College. I only applied to the UM and FIU! Florida International University admitted me within 2 weeks of applying. I’m only waiting for UM which is my first choice. Both schools are 15-25 minute drive from my house.

Congrats on FIU! I’m the complete opposite, I applied to schools far away from home lol.

Thank you!! I would love to go to school out of state. It seems like a great experience! But for the most part, it’s too expensive

Yeah it is. NY schools are really expensive, even for in state. Some schools I applied to, their tuition for out of state is cheaper than in-state for NY schools.

That’s insane!! I thought NY tuition would be mere affordable for residents over schools out of state. You should also consider the weather of the locations of your top choices before committing ! That can highly affect your experience. That’s why UM gets a lot of applicants. Everyone wants to be in Florida weather haha

more*** affordable

Yeah, the majority of schools I applied to have nice weather.
