University of Miami Fall 2023 Transfer

Did you apply to any other schools?

Couple of other schools, but if I don’t get accepted I’ll probably just stay at Northwestern

I got in today!! Heard back at 4 pm into the college of Arts and Sciences

Congrats! Do you mind sharing when you submitted your application and documents?

Thank you so much! I submitted my application and documents February 15th, they requested my spring semester grades on March 14 and I sent them over on May 9th.

Congratulations! Btw did everyone get the email that says that your application is ready for review?

No, I didn’t. I got an email saying my application was missing my college transcript March 15, but I got that delivered soon after. When I’ve called the admissions office though they’ve told me its been in the admissions review process.

A similar thing happened to me. On March 13th, I got an email saying it was ready for review, but two days later, I was told that my transcripts were missing even though I had already submitted them. I resent it and I haven’t heard anything since then. Hopefully, we hear back next Wednesday!

Has anyone called admissions for an update? This is taking a really long time.

Still nothing, but looking at the track record of people who’ve heard back it looks like admissions are released on Wednesdays. Admissions office told me they release them weekly, so hopefully we hear back tomorrow.

I really hope so! It’s been almost 3 months now since I’ve been waiting.

Anyone hear anything

Nothing here. I’m honestly really annoyed that I haven’t heard anything. Why is it taking them so long to release decisions???

Still nothing. The waiting sucks so bad

I really just don’t understand why this is taking so long. They say online that if you submit before the priority deadline you’ll hear back end of April and now its essentially June. That just doesn’t compute for me.

Exactly, were we not priority applicants since we submitted everything before April 1st? Are we on some kind of internal waiting list? Do you think it’s because we applied for aid?

I asked someone from the financial aid office if their package impacted when decisions are released and they said that the two are completely independent. When I talked with someone from the admissions office they say that the people who make decisions release them at their leisure, so what tf are they doing?

It’s so disheartening. I really want to transfer out of my current school. Need a good aid package for that, though. Plus by the time we get in won’t it be too late to find good housing?

Same. I’ve looked a bit at off-campus housing since it seems that’s what transfer students have to do, but without knowing for certain I cant make certain plans. Really really frustrating

Have u heard back from other schools you applied to?
