University of Miami Official Class of 2018 EA Results

Hey canesfan96, Congrats… Can you post up a screenshot so we can see what it looks like?

I suspect canesfan96 and wadeboshlebron may be trolls

This is killing me I just want to know already

I live in South FL and still nothing… oh well. Got excited for nothing.

Also, the lack of information from the UMAdmission twitter and Facebook is suspicious. I’m sure they would’ve said something had they been released.

Nothing here in Washington DC

We should receive an auto-generated email whenever a decision is posted. That’s how all my other schools have worked.

FWIW, last year the decisions were released in apparently random batches, I.e., not grouped by decision outcome , region, etc. There was a lot of anxiety on the part of those who heard later rather than sooner, but many of them were acceptances.

Hang in there everyone.

@teenbodybuilder I heard that UM doesn’t email

FWIW, I called admissions today. I was told that decisions have not been released, but will be “in the next couple of days”.

@WasatchSk1er That is contradictory to what we were told yesterday by our rep. The email said exactly what was posted previously - it may take a few days for the decisions to be uploaded to the CaneLink accounts but they were submitted yesterday.

OK. I’m just telling you what a young guy in admissions told me. I’m sure that they are programmed to say certain things. I was very polite and said. “I applied EA. The []_[] advised that I would have my decision by 2/1. I have not received it. What’s up?” The response was, “They should be out in the next couple of days.” Query: “So, they have not been released yet?” Response: “no.” “Thank you. Bye.”

Let’s all agree that even admissions has no idea.

So I just called the admission office and they said that some have already received their decisions. Students will receive their admission decisions on a random basis (not based on region or application submission date) from now until next week. So in other words, this is the most annoying way possibly and being the most impatient kid in history, im dying haha good luck everyone

Hey All. Firstly Congrats to everyone who was chosen as finalist for the singer/stamps weekends. I was invited down last year and although I didn’t win a scholarship, the trip is what made my decision to come to UM and I have not regretted it since. I am currently a Freshman Foote Fellow studying Marine Science and Chemistry and if anyone is looking for advice or has questions, feel free to PM me.
Secondly, I was in your shoes last time when it came to waiting for decisions to be posted. They were supposed to be up Friday night but I didn’t hear back until Monday due to problems with their servers. Be patient with them. Getting 30K+ decision out is not an easy task especially when everyone is flooding their site looking for answers. I wish you all luck and hope to see you down here as a Cane next fall!

So the letters have been mailed, yes?

unless the two guys who said they got in post a screenshot, i don’t take their word for it. so many kids have been doing that on other discussion boards for schools just to be funny lol

^^Dislike! This stuff is hard enough on the kids (and the parents)!

I suspect Smellis17 is a ■■■■■ as well. Don’t believe him

Wow, Lord of the Flies much?

^ LOL
