Geez, I was only kidding with the nepatism/nepotism comment - despite misspelling it.
Is there proof that admission are actually being announced???
@umichhello from an admitted student
Not yet! except for some sporadic comments here-
If you go into the umich hashtag on twitter people have been tweeting about being accepted today…not sure if they’re EA undergrads though
victors2022 ??
If that is true, what else can it be? graduate admissions don’t happen now and there is no ED at UMich
where does it say in the portal? what do we have to click?
there’s nothing in #victors2022 on twitter or instagram
So what exactly is going on?
on twitter i looked up #goblue and there are a lot of posts from recruited football players announcing that they are accepted to UMich
Just talked to my son, no one has heard anything at his school in Michigan- as I said, we are very close to AA
I live in Grand Rapids and no one has heard here either
Last year, on the day EA decisions were released, here is how it worked:
Wolverine Access was updated first during the day. Emails were sent second, later in the day.
If it is true that some people are finding results on their portal, here is what to expect based on last year:
Go to Wolverine Access and click on the button “Application Status”.
When you are accepted/denied, it says so there.
If nothing has changed, either
- your account has not been updated yet
OR - you will receive a deferral email that afternoon.
If you were EA qualified but deferred, it remained EA qualified until your Mar/Apr final decision. The application status did not change last year until a FINAL accept, waitlist or deny decision was made on your application (albeit Dec or Mar/Apr).
No changes nor notations are made on your portal status if you are deferred
Good luck!
It’s national signing day for football, so with several players commuting to UofM, I think there has been some confusion between athletic commitments and acceptances. Could be wrong though…
Kids-please don’t stress about this so much! You will all end up at great schools.
If anyone could use a coping mechanism, I recommend saying the Gettysburg Address over and over to yourself. It’s weird, but it definitely gets your mind off of Michigan!
So you just have to assume you are deferred? Also- where at exactly on the application status page willcwe see it?
@agrace14 you’ll get an email no matter your decision
@agrace14 Dead center. You won’t be able to miss it.
