Everyone belongs to many different communities and/or groups defined by (among other things) shared geography, religion, ethnicity, income, cuisine, interest, race, ideology, or intellectual heritage. Choose one of the communities to which you belong, and describe that community and your place within it.
I have no idea how to answer this and I’ve been trying for weeks.
I’m a white girl from a very affluent neighborhood who plays varsity soccer and is on student government, but I don’t think those two things are unique enough to write about. I have no clue and I have 7 days until the application is due!!! Any help would be so much appreciated!
I skimmed through your early posts and I saw something that stood out. You said you were part of a “students against Drunk Driving Club.” That is very unique and if you have a small personal story to go along with that, then you can really run with the essay. If not, write about a professional sports team that you are a fan that part of some inner community within it. Ie, Disappointed fans, ecstatic fans. (make sure it is a recognizable enough name). I know people that have written about the last one and it is was incredible story that you can make out of it (p.s. she barely watchs any sports).
Good Luck! Hopefully both of us have the oppurtunity to attend there in the fall.
