University of Michigan Class of 2023 Early Action

I’m not sure but I think you can still get accepted for RD round later.

If you were EA before you are now RD. Yes you can still be accepted till like mid April. Usually no rejections this round but that will increase going forward.

Can you change major after accepted?

@Micc… What are you looking to do? You can usually do cross campus transfer after a year and take whatever classes your first year that you would normally take anyway is the easiest way. If your talking about like right now… Then you would have to pull your acceptance and put yourself back into the RD pool with your new major. Do you really want to do that? If they allowed everyone to do this it would be chaos.

Congrats! For clarification, you were accepted RD, not EA. EA notifications were sent in December. Maybe you applied EA, but you were deferred to the RD round.

NO! Everyone who applied EA and was deferred is now in the RD round. Everyone is RD now. The original EA applicants get no special treatment at this point. All applicants who were not admitted in December during the EA notification will hear ANY TIME between now and April.

You don’t have a major yet. You have until end of sophomore year to declare your major.

@Knowsstuff @brantly Thank you for your responses. I meant the intended major I put on Common App, I don’t know if I have to stick to that. I’m not thinking of transferring to a different school, I am accepted to CoE and I plan to stay there, just may want to study a different major than the one I put on common app.

@Micc. In that case you are fine then. Changing majors within engineering is not a big deal. They want to support your interests. When you meet with your advisors during orientation just discuss that. You can email them now also and see what they say. But keep in mind. Depending if your using AP credits most first years schedules are pretty much the same with minor differences. Michigan is one of the few schools that makes it easy on you to transfer within the school itself. You still might to stay in your chosen field what you put on the application for like semester then have the chance to change or something like that. But even saying that… Your really not declared in engineering till your sophomore year anyway,in theory, since you need to pass your prequisites anyway…

Accepted to Ross Business School on 2/1. Accepted to Tulane and Richmond as well. Still waiting for 5 RD schools but 99% going to Umich now.

Has anyone from the deferred list heard back yet? And does anyone know when regular decision comes out?

@user2023user19 Please see my post #1667. There is no “deferred list.” Those who applied EA and were deferred to the RD round are now … part of the RD round. They are not treated differently from RD candidates in the timing of the release of decisions. U-M decisions are released in waves. Anyone – no matter when they applied – can hear any time between now and April. If you originally applied EA and were deferred to the RD round, there could be applicants who did not apply EA who hear well before you do. You are not given priority.

@user2023user19 first round of deferred acceptances came out on 2/1

I got into LSA on the first deferred round. What does this mean for my Ross application?

@collegegirl314… Not much. But since you got accepted. (Congratulations), they can now start reviewing your Ross application, instead of waiting for later acceptance to start.

Can you let us know stats?

Accepted LSA. When does financial packages come in? (OOS)

Congrats to those who got in to Ross!!! Can you please provide when you applied, In-state and some stats? Thanks.

does anyone know if you’re accepted into Ross if you’re still eligible for the Stamps or Shipman scholarship? or when those scholarship decisions even come out?(:

Does anyone know when Stamps semifinalists are notified? What is the criteria for selection?

long time lurker, first time poster. I was on wolverine access and when i clicked on “financial planning calculator” it says “continuing students may check after April 1.” Does this mean anything? for background, I applied EA to COE and got deferred. I’m instate and my decision tab is still there. Can others check if they are in the same boat? It 's probably what it says for everyone but I thought I would ask here to be sure. Good luck to everyone!!
