My son specified an interest in RC - he hasn’t received a decision yet for his RD application. However, it’s my understanding that they check in with you if accepted just to make sure still interested. You are not obligated to join (ie can change your mind). My son really loved the idea of the RC and wrote about it in his essays - it’s quite a nice opportunity. Not quite sure how to juggle RC with HC, which he would also very likely look into if accepted. He’s thinking he’ll cross that bridge if and when he comes to it.
Has anyone heard/know anything about Taubman and when architecture applicants receive reponses.
what is the “good deferral” letter
Accepted into COE. Out of State. Very expensive for out of state so hoping for some scholarships. does anyone know of any COE scholarships?
Please chance me for university of Michigan
OOS low income first generation college student from Wisconsin
31 ACT and 3.97 UW gpa with 6 total AP classes in HS (school doesn’t do weighted but I’m guessing around 4.2??)
A few clubs but I work in a nursing home and volunteer at an urgent care clinic which I think is pretty unique and I talked about these in my essays. My essays imo were very good because unique!
I am a jack Kent Cooke college scholarship semifinalist as well
Good letters of recommendation
both from my ap science teachers. I am very close with both of them and I am a teachers assistant for one of them.
I have been accepted to uw Madison and some other smaller schools and waitlisted at UNC Chapel Hill
I am just worried for being out of state but I spent a lot of time on the ‘why umich’ essay with really in-depth reasons on why I like their school specifically and why it’s a good fit for me.
Also I just submitted my application like the day before the deadline is that bad??
Only 4 acceptances posted on this page following the “wave” on Friday. If this is anything like the pages for other schools, we would be up to Page 120 following a big announcement day, not Page 3. Maybe I’m an optimist, but I think there were very few people notified last week and there are many more to come.
Posted on the deferred students page but my son was deferred in December and accepted on Friday. OOS engineering. Posting stats for reference: ACT 35, SAT II Math 800, Chem 790, unweighted 4.0. 5s on all APs except 10th grade AP Euro (4). Good luck to everyone!
@yaleivyleague not sure but you seemed to apply to many of the schools my son did. Most top state schools give very little merit aid because frankly they don’t need to. What state are you from and do you have a good in state option?
Did anyone hear back from the School of Kinesiology?
when do acceptances usually come out for rd?
@TN034154 They started coming out last Friday, Feb. 1
Holy crap my dumba** forgot to send my umich sat scores until today and I heard they don’t have a grace period. does this mean I’ll be automatically rejected?
I’m sorry, I’m a little confused. Wasn’t the DEADLINE for RD last Friday (Feb 1)? How are decisions already coming back?
@redcloud17 Some decisions came back on 2/1 for some kids that were deferred EA, so rolled in to RD. Not sure about kids that applied straight RD.
I got into UMich Regular Decision on 2/1
Did you get into Ross or a different school RD?
question: admittance into LSA means I can declare any major in the school as long as I meet prereqs?
@bikeracer200 Sorry, I am slightly confused. Were you deferred and then accepted on February 1st? The deadline for RD for Michigan was only Feb. 1st, so that would be slightly confusing if you had already gotten a decision right when they closed the application.
@hopefulchild yes all Feb 1st admittances were for deferred EA applicants who are now technically considered the RD round
