any chance they will come today?
@dannyphantom1 I doubt they are open on Presudents’ Day
@smlsml4444 You will receive an email shortly after the portal is updated with decision. You don’t have to check the portal all the time. It is only for the impatient ones.
@billcsho how should I let the admissions know of additional updates to my application. I have been selected as an NMF. I think it is a good recognition. When I contacted the admissions last week they said that all they need is the mid year grades. Nothing else is required.
I have a question, its probably already been answered before, but next to where my portal says mid-year grades, it says ‘waived’. Does anyone else have this or knows what it means? Thank you!
I was up at Ann Arbor yesterday and fell in love with umich all over again! The waiting is killing me, but it’s such a nice campus with great people and a ton of stuff to do that it seems pretty worth it! Not to mention the amazing academics we all know about, it will be a struggle waiting but I guess it could all be worth it in the long run.
The same as me.Did you send your your mid-term grades?
@MoTownBlues You may contact your admission counselor with the update if you want. However, it is pretty much expected a NMSF will become NSF. If not, they will see the reason from your grades and/or school report.
@billcsho do they release oos deferrals RD 1st or in-state or is there no specific pattern?
There is no specific pattern. There were in-state students admitted on 2/2 too, just not posted in this forum. Also, it is now RD. It does not matter if one was deferred from EA or not.
@FullOfSmiles Yes, that has been asked and answered. You may still submit your mid year report if you want. Basically they think they have enough information and started reviewing your application.
@billcsho also does it matter what kind of LOCI response you get, or is it basically automated and the same for pretty much every1?
@csekar15 I had to call today on something unrelated and they are open today… But I wouldn’t call unless you have something very specific about your application… They won’t know when responses are released.
@pachacuti092 It does not really matter as long as they make a note about it in your application. Anything else is not in your control anyway.
…missed the interview in Nov for some reasons, got deferred, now got invited to interview again… Definitely doing it this time. Wonder if everyone does interview?? Engineering major by the way.
@Lotus321 I guess only in-state applicants do interview
“Waived” next to grades is a good sign that your application has gone to review without receipt of grades. Happened to me last year around this time (I still sent them in either way). My acceptance came late March.
My D’s ‘decision’ tab disappeared yesterday. No update yet. Anyone else?
@098123Student Was that true for just you or were the majority of kids with “waived” accepted?
With the mid year grades waived, it still can go either way.
