Wait for a week after submission to check your WA status. It takes time to update.
I just tried to log in to the wolverine access and it says my login ID has been locked… This really scared me. I successfully logged in several times yesterday. Does anyone face the same condition?
My son noticed that on his status page the Early Action Deadline was 11/02/15. I’m assuming admissions moved out the deadline because of problems College Boards had delivering SAT scores? I’m glad to see that Michigan went with a reasonable solution for these stressed out teens!
The soonest EA’s will have an admissions answer is December 18th, right?
@einsteinsmom If Michigan follows the same “plan” as last year, yes the 18th would be the first day applicants would hear back.
My application status still says Early Action - Requested. Does anyone else also still have this? It says that my documents were sent between 11/1 and 11/5, is it possible that I may just be deferred to Regular because they weren’t processed on time?
@canunot The same thing is happening to me! It says some of my documents were received on 11/4, and it says Early Action- Requested. Not really sure what to do…
@CluelessCathy I called the admissions office and they said we should get an email from Mich soon saying whether or not we’ve qualified for early action. I just realized that someone already commented that earlier lol
Guys any data on the stats regarding how many apply EA and what is the EA acceptance rate.
Qualified email came today!
^Same with above. However, on WA it stated Early Action - Qualified since I applied so I wonder if that makes a difference
I haven’t gotten an email yet, but my WA finally says Early Action - Qualified. I applied on 10/31 so I think people who applied around that time should be having their status updated too.
OK guys! I got into LSA as Freshman starting the winter term. They told me that even though they receive considerably fewer applications in the winter, the standards are kept at the same level as fall.
My stats: International Student, GPA: 3.7~3.8, ACT: 31(E:31, M:34, R:33, S:26), Marching band leader in my final year, senior member of the school MUN team, best delegate in the School MUN and debate finalist.
@Dawnseeker11 When did you apply?
Got qualified for EA email on October 14th and it said that decisions will be released on December 24th. Could be an early Christmas present
Applied in the first week of September, accepted on the 7th of this month.
Helpful info from Michigan website:
"How will I be notified of my admission decision?
Early Action decisions will be released no later than December 24th; Regular review decisions are released in April.
ALL admissions decisions will be sent via email from Michigan.Admissions@umich.edu or UA-Admissions@umich.edu with the subject line “Your University of Michigan Admissions Decision.” Please add these email addresses to your safe list so that your decision does not go to your junk or spam folder. Decisions will be released to the email address you provided on your application. If you need to update your contact information, you may do so yourself through the New & Prospective Student link in Wolverine Access.
Applicants who have been admitted will also receive paper correspondence. We will send your admissions decision to the address you provided in your application; if you have provided a current address, we will send the decision there. If you have only included a permanent address, that is where your decision will be sent.
There are three possible decisions an applicant may receive: admit, defer, or deny. Admit and deny are final decisions and will be viewable on a link labeled "View Decision" on the application status link of your New & Prospective Student Portal. Defer means your application requires additional consideration. Because defer is not a final decision, it will not appear on the application status link."
A table at the bottom of the Michigan page explains that, if you are admitted, you will receive an email and a hard copy letter and your web status will change to admitted. If you are deferred, you will receive an email but no hard copy letter and your web status will not change. If you are denied, you will get an email but no hard copy letter and your web status will change to denied.
Where on WA does it say EA status? I applied EA but on Nov 1 and it says all my documents were received on the 6th of November. I have a WA account but I don’t see anything about EA status anywhere.
@Dawnseeker11 do you mean that you were listed as qualified on the 7th, or were you actually accepted already?
@er2016 Log in to WA, select Application status, View application data, scroll down to Other info. It will state there if you qualified for EA or are still waiting
