I got into Michigan for EA but I was wondering how would I know if I got in preferred admission? The email says nothing about it! Thank you!

@stinkytofu4lyfe Pretty sure that comes out next year in the spring after regular decisions come out so as to account for everyone who applied for preferred admission.

a LOT of my friends got deferred… only 2 were accepted…

@eatsleepswim123 , that makes sense. You have a nice upward trend going. Does 4.2 mean you got all A+ grades or is it weighted? UM will take your unweighted score and convert to any A=4, any B=3 etc and then assign their own weight based on class rigor and HS. You should post the grades based on UM unweighted scale.

Deferred, but not all hope lost yet.

We live in NJ and heard a little after 3.
Accepted

So I haven’t been reading this forum since 5 pm cause I was busy with other stuff. I got deferred and that’s pretty disappointing. I was telling myself that I would get in and even be competitive for a few scholarships because I really wanted to go to Michigan, even though I am out of state from Georgia. I applied to LSA and I thought my essays were really good. Maybe my hubris got the better of me and falsely inflated my hopes?
Here’s my Stats:
ACT: 35
GPA: 4.0 (u) 4.3 (w)
12 AP Classes
Tons of leadership positions like captain of my rugby team.

From just a quick glance, it looks like a lot of really qualified OOS students got deferred. Anyone know the reason?
And do my chances of getting a scholarship drastically drop now that I am part of RD?
How should I move forward?

My daughter was accepted today,
32 act 4.5 out of 4.8 gpa
Lots of extra curriculum
Captain of a sport

Deferred. What do you think I should send in an email?

Deferred. 3.9 UW GPA, 33 ACT. This blows.

Still no notification or email. Very confused. Has anyone else not received a decision yet?

Deferred from engineering… I was pretty upset… Do I even have a chance for regular?
34 ACT, 3.8 UW, 4.4 W, 14 AP classes
Good leadership in school and community, lots of ecs, and pretty strong essays
OOS (CO)

Deferred OOS. Legacy. Request for semester grades, hopefully will hear back soon. Good luck everyone

Deferred OOC. Was expecting this because of my low SAT score… oh well… RD it is…

accepted oos today…was really surprised. 32 act and 4.87/5 GPA. the acceptances seem as if they let in people who are right at their range. not too high above or too low, but just in the middle. probably because they’re the ones they expect to actually attend the school. my essay on why umich was really specific and referred to the actual curriculum/some alumni in the major i checked off i was interested in. maybe that helped?

deferred - 31 Act , 10/10 CGPA PCM-790,800,780 . International student - India

Accepted, 2370 SAT, 4.0 UW, several major awards
also accepted to one of HYP

Wow, I was just on this five hours ago and there were an additional 60 pages added! I received my acceptance email today at about 4:45, but I saw that I was accepted at about 3:15 on the Wolverine Access page. Here’s my stats if anyone is interested:
31 ACT
4.0 out of 4.0 GPA
Varsity sports
Volunteer work and a job
4 AP Classes
Good luck to everyone who was deferred or hasn’t found out yet!

Oh, and I’m in state!
