Someone over chat said it was a spoof. But would they really admit people were accepted before getting their official letters out? I have no idea. For now I’m going to try to not get my hopes up, but this definitely has me freaking out.
Just called the office, it was an error!
I called the office and they don’t understand the situation either. So no one knows what the hell is going on. My question is, who DIDNT get the email? Because no offense, if someone didn’t get the email, that could be great news for us.
@Jd12345 also no offense but it could also mean they sent the wrong email to the wrong people. Therefore, you would be getting rejected. Assumptions will get you nowhere in life. Something to think about before you let this go to your head.
Seems like the LSA transfer team accidentally sent out the email to all those who applied for transfer whether they were admitted or not. Since people who received the email have received all sorts of decisions (accepted, rejected, or no decision yet), my guess is that they took their transfer mailing list and sent out the email to everyone on the list by accident. Hard to say exactly what happened until U-M says something though! Good luck to all of you still waiting on a decision!
I got a rejection email but didnt get an update link yet anybody knows what’s now?
Dear LSA Transfer Applicant,
I apologize for the previous email that mistakenly suggested you were admitted to the University’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. Unfortunately, I used the wrong list to send this invitation. If you have already received an admissions decision, your status has not changed. If you have not yet received a decision, your application is still being evaluated.
If you have questions, please email me at mrhartma@umich.edu.

Btw I’ve also got that congrats letter 2 hrs prior I got rejected lol
@yolos1066 to be blunt: you’re rejected. That’s what’s up now. WA usually only changes when you get accepted. If I am understanding your question clearly.
@yolos1066 so they are releasing decision today?
I guess so, mine’s released good luck
Hs gpa 3.8
Sat 1410:1600
College(psu) gpa 3.95 (19 credit, 16 ongoing credits)
2 lettters of rec
Denied
Thx dude
If you can still hold that gpa, you will definitely get in when you are junior standing. It is not hard to get into LSA.
@wmrock I don’t really think that was an appropriate thing to say when they got rejected. If it’s so easy then why did they get rejected? Admissions are unpredictable and aren’t easy no matter how “high” your gpa is. Essays need to be up to par even if you have high numbers. Nothing is easy my friend.
No nothing is easy, but the college admissions process is stressful enough! Being positive goes a long way
I also got the email today, but no decision yet. Wonder what you guys think of my chances?
High school GPA: low, like 1.97. I took the ACT and got a 28.
Current sophomore in a local CC with a 3.9 GPA. I’ll have 59 credits completed by this fall, only 55 transfer though. I’m a member of PTK, I work full time and I volunteer during elections at my city hall each election.
When you have that amount of credits and still hold a high gpa, you have a big chance if these courses are rigorous.
High school gpa doesn’t matter when you have 55 transferable credits.
Congrats on turning it around! That’s awesome.
What does “rigorous” mean? Lol I’m just curious. I’ve taken all the prerequisites and tried to work my way up the ladder. I’m just not entirely sure how to determine whether I’m taking “rigorous” courses or not!
And thank you! I appreciate it. It’s been a journey but that’s what life is all about
