University of Michigan Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

@GoBlue2233 @NBAEXPERT

@UMICHCSLSA Big congrats to you!!! Mine still has not come out yet…

For those admitted already, how did you check your financial aid?

@UMICHCSLSA Dude, that’s amazing! Great job and congrats!!! Did you get updated through email or Wolverine Access first?

@GoBlue2233 Relax. You’ll get your decision in a few more weeks at the latest.

@NBAEXPERT Thanks!!!

@NBAEXPERT I only check WA at 12:15. Didn’t get any emails from UM yet.

Does anyone know when another wave of LSA will go out? I haven’t heard anything yet.

@goblue1405 I called them they said the latest time to hear back is early April.

Is it a good or bad thing to hear back so late?

I have no idea

also, how do you know when your app was marked complete? Under “view credentials-other required materials” there is nothing. but i sent my transcripts and my ACT/SAT scores and got confirmation emails. it’s just freaking me out that i don’t see a marked complete date

@goblue1405 if you read the confirmation email, then you will see that only materials not received are posted, if there’s nothing that means they received it.

Thank you so much!!

Do they announce any decisions on Sunday’s? Please say no so I can eliminate one day of the week where I’m checking every half hour lol.

Also, I guess if I’m here could someone chance me?

I’m at Oakland Community College (In-state) with a 3.71 gpa. 53 transferrable credits and 20 AP credits.
3.80 High school gpa with 1270 SAT (I think that’s about a 27 on ACT)
-Work as an electrician’s apprentice
-Coach a middle school wrestling team
-Side job of delivering pizzas
-Middle school Sunday school teacher
-3 mission trips past 5 years

Good essays I spent over 15 hours working on with a Umich grad.

3 letters of Rec (econ professor, philosophy professor, pastor at church)

At least two jobs (30+ hours/wk) throughout all of my schooling, this January I had all three plus full-time school plus teaching Sunday school.

I’m scared because I only have 3 courses that I haven’t earned an A/A- in but two were trigonometry and college algebra which I earned C+'s in both. I explained it was mostly due to getting behind in the classes because of my busy schedule and not an ineptitude with math. I am taking Calculus I right now and plan on taking Calculus II in the summer. I’m doing well in Calc I rn too. I’m applying for Econ so I’m worried they’ll see my math background and think I won’t do well in Econ because of it.

Thx!

@UMICHECON33 How’d u explain your situation. As far as I know the transfer common app doesn’t have an additional info section, neither do they have a good or extensive extracurriculars section as the freshman common app

@UMICHCSLSA I put all my jobs and community service experiences in the “Experiences” section. There was a space in the program section of the common app that they told me to explain any concerns I had.

do they announce decisions on sunday?

I would also like to know about the roll-out of decisions. Is it strictly at midnight EST?

I am a prospective transfer to CoE Space Science and Engineering. Don’t want to post stats because they will almost certainly dox me.

does anyone know they release decision based on what criteria? Do they release decision on how good we are or the time that our materials were marked as complete? The waiting drives me crazy lol
