@Teabeat123 just hang in there a little longer. I guarantee you they didn’t forget about you.
@Teabeat123 You are not alone! We should definitely know by the 15th.
@Teabeat123 I also haven’t received anything yet. I’m trying my best to stay patient and just hope for good news. Knowing how tough it’s been to wait quiet a while, I want to wish you the best of luck and I hope you get in!
@ahgoblue20 @BorntobeatUofM @knowstuff Thank you all! Best wishes to you too
any updates from anyone who has not heard yet? My deferral decision still there
Nothing new on my wolverine access account.
If y’all don’t mind me asking, how much financial aid did you guys get (not counting loans)? I am out of state and I am still waiting on my aid and I am trying to see how much they would give. If you can please include income. Thanks guys!
@Tambor12345 What other people get does not matter to you. The range is $0 to full ride. Check the NPC with your own data or wait for the award letter.
@billcsho Yeah, but for some reason that’s not accurate for me. I have done it for other schools and they give me something completely different. I heard they don’t give much to out of state, which is why I am scared.
@Tambor12345
Don’t be scared! I’m also OOS and got into College of Engineering! I just received my estimated financial aid notice today. UMichigan is really nice! My net cost (without work-study and loans) is 62454-(29480+17054+5920+1500)=8500, which is even less than UCLA’s in-state net cost (9000 for me as a California resident). My family’s annual income is less than 25000 (a family of 4).
Good luck to everyone!
@DavidLi1226 Thank you so much for sharing! Nice to know Michigan is generous to out of state students as well
@ahgoblue20 @Teabeat123 have you guys heard anything yet? I still have my decision link with a deferral letter so nothing new for me.
I got in!!! So excited!!!
congrats @Teabeat123
when did your link disappear and if you dont mind sharing what were your stats
@Teabeat123 Congratulations on getting in!!! I’m glad you didn’t have to wait much longer.
@zfeldo5 I just contacted the admissions office today and they said my application was still being reviewed. As the lady I spoke with put it, they do a holistic review of each application, so sometimes it can take a while. Best of luck and hopefully everything works out!
“And to suggest that Columbia is ranked anywhere below Michigan and CMU is funny. But since it’s really irrelevant, it doesn’t really matter.”
exlibris, in the specific context you are alluding to, Engineering, Columbia is one notch below CMU and Michigan. If we were talking about the overall quality of those institutions, I would actually give the slight edge to Columbia, but not in Engineering.
@zfeldo5 I applied RD so there was no link to start with, and my stats are:
SAT: 1500
UW GPA: 3.9
W GPA: 4.3
Varsity Waterpolo, Swimming and Orchestra
@Teabeat123 did you apply summer or fall
Bruh I never knew applying for the summer term would be competitive, cause like who would wanna study during summer? Guess I was wrong aha
Fall
