@prsa73 “Applicants applying to the Stamps School of Art & Design, Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning, Interarts Performance, and the Stephen M. Ross School of Business are all required to submit a portfolio. If you are applying to more than one of these programs you must submit a separate portfolio to each program. Are you applying to one of the programs listed above and do you understand you must submit a portfolio so that your creative work or skills will be considered as part of the admission process to University of Michigan?”
Are you talking about this portfolio? Cus when they meant portfolio for Ross, they’re talking about the Preferred Admission application, not like an actual separate portfolio. But did which one did you send regular, the UMich app or Preferred Admission? Cus I thought you had to be accepted at UMich before they could review your Ross file
yea that’s the one. I rushed through it and selected “no” because I didn’t see the Ross School of Business required it, I just assumed it was the art and architecture schools. and I sent the UMich app regular
@Jagomezpr UMich LSA, which is why I’m wondering if I can even get into Ross because I technically don’t have a complete application since I accidentally skipped the portfolio part of the app
Do they look at our mid-year transcripts?? I was accepted EA but my counselors sent in my mid-year!! I know they review the most recent one but tbh, how bad after an A average to a B average will the Ross admissions board consider you for admission?
Should I send in an optional report explaining how I had a severe illness for almost a month of school and missed critical weeks of IB/AP instruction in the first quarter??
@wallstreetangel you definitely should explain that cus im pretty sure that when our counselors send our mid-year report to UMich, they forward it to the Ross review committee
Can you please take a look at my discussion on my profile? I’m going to apply next year (I’m a junior now) and would like some advice on classes and chances.
It is possible, the Blog post from February 2 says “Pro tip: We typically release decisions on Fridays after 5:00 p.m. and we won’t be releasing any decisions next Friday.” So I guess decisions could have been out on the 16th and 23rd.
Does anyone else’s LSA Application say “This application is no longer active”??? I was accepted after being deferred EA and got the letter and everything. Did they cancel my application? I applied for Ross too so does this mean that my Ross decision is coming out?? Im so confused right now
