Dustins I just received my acceptance (Aerospace Engineering) today, so I think they will send some decisions during their spring break.
I’m currently an international student at Housatonic CC in Connecticut.
47 credits with 3.94 (English classes got me here :P)
A teacher who used to work for NASA and Hamilton Sundstrand and used to teach at Pitt wrote me a great recommendation letter. Plus one from an English teacher and my previous employer.
I have 5 years work experience as IT manager overseas.
Also I am in a NASA research program in CT
Sent my application last October

Now the funny thing as an international student I had only this chance for transfering to a 4 years school, so I applied to 8 in one week schools 7 of them were for computer engineering, so I messed up and I sent a wrong personal statement(thanks to common app) and a wrong recontamination letter. I didn’t know until 2/1, then I almost gave up on Michigan but apparently they do some exceptions.

I was waitlisted senior year, so I thought that I might be able to get in with good grades in college. I’ve heard from many people that they usually don’t let in people for fall of their sophomore year, but accept more people as they have more college credits underneath their belts.

I think it wouldn’t make any difference if u send your midterm grade. A new link in application status will appear (view decision) in wolverine access. Good luck to everyone

I’ve been in touch on and off throughout my application process with a U of M “recruitment coordinator”, i.e. worker in Admissions, and when I emailed her about midterm reports, this was part of the response I got:

Your application will be contingent upon the grades that you have already earned. (We will not need midterm grades.)

So, straight from the Admissions office: no midterm grades required! Hope that helps.

Also, has anyone here applied via a “Transfer Update Request” like I did? I got rejected for Winter 2011 admission when I applied, but instead of having me reapply, they told me that all I had to do was basically send a note to them asking for reconsideration - so I just had to send an updated transcript to Admissions and send an email to Admissions asking for reevaluation of my original app. I don’t know anyone else who’s had to apply that way - do you guys think this bodes better or worse for me than having to formally reapply?

I applied 1/3/11 to Taubman College of Architecture/Urban Planning and still have not received a response. The portfolio was due March 1 but mine was received January 31.
Has anyone that applied to Taubman received a decision yet?
They only admit architecture students for Summer II term so I’m not sure if that will make a difference on when I hear back, though seeing as the deadline of ‘mid-April’ is now just four weeks away I doubt that it will.
At the architecture open house I was told that they do not receive many transfer applications from other colleges, do you think this will hurt or help me?
I’m currently at Oakland Community College with a 3.802 and will have 64 credits upon transfer.

Also I can’t believe that some people applied and got decisions like a week later! It seems like most of you guys applied to LSA, correct?
Is this why the decisions were made so quickly?
Were you guys regular decision?
I hope I get a response soon…I keep trying to just forget about it and let the time pass but it’s hard! Either way, I just want to know!

Got my acceptance email today :D… I was freaking out a lil bit lol

a lot of credit hours… went to school for music for 2 years then changed to accounting when my son was born

LSA, and my final transcript got there on the 7th of January

and wolverine access has a new link called “view decision” when they’ve made theirs

also, I have a poss. of marijuana charge on my record so if anybody’s trying to make themselves feel better with that on their mind… calm down a lil lol

S rejected from LSA today - although it says he can request his app be moved to a later term. He was deferred senior year with a 33 ACT/3.7+ gpa (no EC’s, though). His first term grades for college were 3 A’s, 2 B’s. Since he wants to try again for next winter, he needs to kick up the grades this term (he is not at a particularly difficult college). I suggested he take physics at CC this summer & he will attend a local U for fall. He doesn’t want to return to his current school next year, so we’ll save some money while he is home for what hopefully will just be one semester.
