@washuhopeful email is the way to go on May 1st.
Interesting that College Confidential links this story on the column to the left of this forum. http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/2070370-are-waiting-lists-out-of-control.html

@billcsho Daughter’s school grades quarterly. 3rd Q just closed and results were very strong. Is it worth sending the report card to the regional admissions counsellor?
@WolverineDream A report card update is definitely better than just a LoCI note. It would not hurt.
@billcsho Thank you. Should we wait until May 1?
@WolverineDream When you have updated info, you should not wait. It is different from a LoCI.
The school said that they are not accepting any additional information so I dont think you can send recent grades
Has anyone happened to have heard back yet? I know they say they don’t notify until late May but around this time last year decisions were coming out so I was just wondering.
How can they release decisions for waitlisted students at this moment? Some students who were admitted to Class of 2022 did not pay their enrollment deposit yet.
Idk I guess if a lot of people withdraw their application? I just saw people around this time on last year’s thread saying they got off the waitlist so I just wondered.
Waitlist decisions started to come out early may last year. Maybe you are thinking of some people that got late deferral/rd decisions
Very possible that they’re talking about transfer students? idk but should be out in a few weeks
Okay well either way, hoping for the best! Good luck to everyone!
Did anyone send in a letter yet?
I sent one in about two weeks ago, and then an email with scholarships and awards I had recently won a few days go
I sent a letter a month ago. You better send it asap if UMich remains as your top choice.
I just sent mine. It was around three sentences long.
What email are you sending it to? The undergrad admissions director?
To your regional counselor and the undergrad admissions office
I just sent mine to my regional counselor…should I send a copy to the undergrad admissions office or does it matter?
