I have applied early action to UMich which is my first choice. I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA from a very competitive private school but it's out of state, and a 32 ACT score. I have done varsity crew all four years of high school and have lots of community service hours. I have done good EC which include science and history electives along with photography all four years. I am very nervous and dont know if I am going to get in!!!! I applied to LSA which is the easiest school to get into. What do you think?

@laurax198 Assuming your course load is strong, I think you are a very solid match for UMich. How are your Recs/Essays? Any awards.

I’d say at least 50% chance, but that could go up or down significantly based on the other variables. Good luck, and hope this helps!

@laurax198 Your GPA is a bit low compare with the admission average of 3.85. However, a strong course rigor and your school profile may help. While your ACT is around the admission average for UMich (mid 50 was 30-33 last year). For a student from OOS, it would be a low reach for you. The overall admission rate was 32% last year while that for OOS would bes much lower.
