yay!! welcome to the "crew"!! :D

This advantage to minorities is unfair. I know MANY minorities who check the box to their advantage and they are no more "disadvantaged" than the man in the moon. All people should be judged on their OWN MERITS. Qualified applicants are being DENIED because others are given preference because of their race or heritage. This is WRONG.

^ I concur

i agree with you on some parts...but its a very complicated thing i think...... but it's kind of the same thing as though two equal people were competing for a spot, and one got it because they can play an instrument theyre looking for. Colleges have needs, and one of them is to be diverse and not mono-faceted...haha i think i just made that word up

yeah... ND is ranked as one of the most (if not most) homogeneous school... weedboy i think that's the word you were looking for. :D

has anyone received their confirmation packets yet?

yeah i got mine friday..haha homogeneous is indeed a good word

I got this email today:

To All Spring Visitation Weekend Attendees:
This is just a short note to let you know that your confirmation packets will be mailed on Monday morning, March 12th. Some 25 of you have already received your confirmation packets. You should all have your packets in hand by the following Monday.
Please fill out, sign and either mail or fax the permission form and medical release form as soon as you get the packets.
In less than three weeks you will be at Notre Dame! We are really looking forward to your visit.
Our student coordinators are on spring break right now, but when they return they will be in touch with you via email regarding your student hosts and other miscellaneous stuff.
I will be in touch with you, too, as the weekend nears with some advice about travel.

Yeah, I got that last night. I'm awaiting the packet, though. Man, three weeks...

I just got my package, and boy, I'm really excited! However, I'm really confused in regards to the airplane tickets. Are they going to send them after we send them the medical permission sheets?

I haven't been on an airplane since I was 3 years old. I will definitely get lost.

what's inside the package? i'm still waiting for mine.

me too. If I don't receive mine by tomorrow I'm gonna call up Mr. Martinez. Isn't the packet just permission slips and a medical release form? ND's students are on spring break but I know they'll be in contact with us real soon :D

TWO WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
