So who is planning on going?

Anyone know what they have planned?

hey. i’m planning on going and i haven’t planned anything yet but does this mean that i am pretty much accepted? or am i just getting my hopes up?

I am going as well. From past threads I assume that we are in…the e-mail was pretty straight-forward. I hear we also get our financial aid package.

I am planning on going as well. You’re talking about the one at the end of February right?

@dingdong No, I got an invitation for March 28-April 1st or something like that. Isnt the one in February for admitted students? Im not “admitted” yet.

Hey so is this invitation by e-mail? Does that mean that they already made their decisions for most applicants, or do they send these e-mails little by little as they review applications and pick selected people who will be invited?

O and sorry last question, did you apply early or regular?

Hey @Jesuit, I really cant answer any of your questions because I have no clue. But yes it was via e-mail and I applied regular. My stats are not that great and I even submitted the supplement a day late, wrote all 3 short answers in 15 mins…so im in a bit of shock.

The email did say that they have to book flights before feb 10th!

O wow ok, well congrats…I hope I will be receiving one this month or the next, I did some searching on the forums and I saw that they could invite even as late as march, so I’ll hope for the best. I would love to know that I am accepted before March so I could take some of the pressure off. I saw as well from a person who is a host of it from a previous post that they only invite a small portion of the minority students that were accepted for the year so if your not invited, it doesn’t mean your not in.

So is it safe to say that if you get invited you are in? I mean it doesnt make sense for Notre Dame to pay for your trip and try to convince you to go there just so they can reject you a couple days later right?

yeah, exactly…from posts im reading on this forum from last year and a couple of years ago…it pretty much means your in.

Is anyone planning to go with their parents, if so do you know what our parents will be doing?

I’m going, and I’ve already been accepted (Early Action). After verifying my registration, I received an itinerary from last year’s Diversity Weekend. It seems like we’ll be attending classes and activities on campus, and also meeting with diversity groups and clubs.

I am almost certain I will not be invited… I also kinda think I won’t be admitted.

But I did hear that invitations for the second round of spring visitation weekend have been sent out circa a week ago.

Good luck to the rest of you! :)

got my plane ticket today!

Just got an invitation for the March 29-April 1 visitation. I spent a week at Notre Dame over the summer, so I’m trying to decide if I should miss those two days of school. :/

Just got an email for this!! I applied RD, does this mean I’m in for sure?? So thrilled!!!

^Yeah, basically. I applied RD too! Think of it as a likely letter. Except you know, in email form. Congratulations!

Wow, so awesome!! I considered ND a reach school, so I’m super excited! I think itll be a really great weekend and I’m really looking forward to it. It says for a couple occasions “semi formal attire” will be required… I don’t own any formal wear and have only worn a suit once in my life… what exactly is “semi” formal? Should I rent a suit? Or would that be too formal?
