@hew100 you get an email in a couple of days. Look at old posts about downloading the app, etc.
@hailtopitt1787 my daughter received her scholarship offer in the mail today. It did not mention the Chancellor’s Scholarship. Will those nominations go out later or should we assume that she was not/will not be nominated? Thanks!!
ah thank you, what is the app called exactly?
@hew100 Pitt PS Mobile
Does anyone know when you’ll hear back if you’ve been rejected? I applied Sept 22nd and I feel as if I was accepted I would have heard back by now.
4.3. 1530. Chem and education. NMSF. Tons of extracurriculars and leadership including GS gold and congressional gold.
Applied early September. Accepted late September. Scholarship yesterday.
Fingers crossed for more.
Did you finish the SRAR?
It seems that most of the acceptances we are seeing so far are for students with SAT scores in the top 25% of Pitt’s reported range. (middle 50% is 1240-1420)
Perhaps they start with offers to those top scoring students and then work their way down the list…
Pitt definitely has a system. So great to have an early acceptance and even better to have that acceptance with some merit $$. Don’t forget as time goes on and you are comparing Pitt’s offer with others you receive, to submit Pitt’s Cost Analysis Form to them. It’s online. You very simply write in the costs of tuition, room and board, scholarships, and can compare bottom lines. Then, if another school has tipped the scale, submit this to Pitt with your documentation, and they will consider offers like this from comparable schools. Some are successful getting more merit this way. Best of luck.
@MominPA2017, Students who are admitted to Pitt Honors are eligible to be nominated for the Chancellor’s Scholarship. The Pitt Honors Priority Consideration Deadline is November 1 and those who are admitted will hear by December 15 at the latest. So Chancellor’s Scholarship nominations will go out after the Pitt Honors review process! You can find more information here: https://oafa.pitt.edu/financialaid/academic-scholarships/chancellors-scholarship/
Congratulations to your daughter on her scholarship!

@LJW101, You are welcome to contact our office if you would like to check on the status of your application, make sure we have everything and get an estimate on when you will hear back from us: 412-624-7488.

@hailtopitt1787 thank you so much - for the information and the congratulations!
@silver215, Yay! So glad you applied to Pitt! The email takes a few business days - our system needs to register that you applied and that needs to make it’s way to our colleagues at the Technology Help Desk. They then send the email.
When you check your application status, we will be listing whether or not your application is complete. We do not post an admissions decision in the portal - we will email/mail you our decision. A conservative estimate is that you will hear back from us within 4-6 weeks of the application being marked complete.
Good luck!

A Pitt Admissions Staffer
My daughter was accepted today via a VIDEO… official paperwork to come soon according to the video.
The video they send is great! We loved it ?
Congratulations to your daughter!
I listed on my Pitt applications when applying that I was SAT testing in November. Will Pitt hold my application until they get my November score or will they make a decision once they receive my October and August scores? (My scores thus far aren’t the most best)
Does any one know what’s the school code for sending Toefl scores? Couldn’t find one on the website. Any insights? @hailtopitt1787
Hi!! What are the increments of merit scholarship that Pitt gives out? Like what’s the maximum one can get (not considering full tuition or financial aid)?
Thanks!
@hailtopitt1787 , we still want to fill SRAR to complete the whole process of application.
hope that is okay.
if possible, can post the link to SRAR reporting.
