Yes, looks like it takes about 2 days to receive an acceptance email after the button change. The video is very cool!
At top of page 27, @proudpapaof2 mentions receiving University financial aid. I think there is another person as well. If anyone can inform how long it took between admission and financial aid info, please share.
Edit/add: In a different thread, someone wrote: “I got my merit aid about a week after my acceptance letter, so give it some time”

DD received acceptance email today!
Hi! I just wanted to weigh in on the questions about scholarship/financial aid timing.
Scholarships:
It’s hard to estimate how long each individual applicant will hear back on scholarships, there is not a specific pattern. It is rolling, the Scholarship Committee meets weekly October-February, and they send letters out weekly. Some students are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee once and are offered something, others are reviewed several times before the Committee determines what they would like to offer that student. Just because you have not heard yet and others have does not mean you should rule out getting a scholarship offer at all. The latest anyone will hear back on scholarships is March 1, so there is still a lot of time! I hope that helps clarify.
Financial Aid:
Those who completed the FAFSA should receive a financial aid notification letter in the early spring (around February).

A bit more about scholarships - if a student is up for the Chancellor’s or the Stamps, he/she may not hear about a regular merit scholarship until they’ve been eliminated from the process of one of the larger scholarships. The timing of my D’s merit scholarship last year lines up with this theory of mine. Best of luck!
@hailtopitt1787, can you comment on @Winky1’s post above? My child will not be able to improve his application, having already a perfect test score, subject SATs, lots of APs all with scores of 5, an almost perfect GPA, etc, so despite the fact that others with lower stats and similar ECs report more merit scholarships, it does not seem that there is a path to have the application reviewed again and potentially get more than the 10K received. Nonetheless, I think that Pitt is a great fit for my child and I was at hoping for consideration for the Chancellor’s invite or Stamps, but if @Winky1 is right, these scholarships are out as well… Another parent reported that his child got an invite for a Skype interview for Stamps on Oct 31st, are the invites for interviews for Stamps already done?
Sorry, I posted before being done typing, I also wanted to thank you @hailtopitt1787 for taking the time to respond to our posts, this is very helpful.
Hello! Invitations to Stamps interviews continue to go out. Those interviews will be completed by March 1 (the invites go out on a rolling basis along with scholarship notifications).
Chancellor’s Scholarship is a little different this year, because the Pitt Honors process is different. Only students who applied for Honors Priority Consideration (by November 1) will be considered for the Chancellor’s. Those students will hear back about their Honors admission in January 12 and the Chancellor’s Scholarship review process should begin shortly after that.
Good luck, @mic212!

Hey guys,
Haven't received my own admissions decision yet but decided to make this thread to see if anyone got any updates. (:
Thank you @hailtopitt1787. One last question about the Stamps: I think that since the Stamps deadline is Dec 1st, my child applied for it later, after the merit scholarship was already received. Does this mean that since the scholarship committee already discussed the Pitt application and at the time they awarded the scholarship the Stamps application was not in, they will no longer look again? I am sure they have plenty of qualified applicants to choose from and I am afraid that because of the way the timing worked my child would have missed on this opportunity.
So, your child was offered a scholarship and then applied for Stamps after they got that offer - but before the December 1 deadline, correct?
If that is the case, they will still be reviewed. All PA Scholarships Applicants who met the December 1 deadline will be reviewed for the Stamps and Nordenberg scholarships.

I’m sort of confused, did this thread get mixed in with the ** University Of Pit 2023 Decision** thread? Because I no longer can see that thread when I search it up.
Actually you are probably correct, as there used to be only around 30 pages, and now there are an additional 10 pages. They may have combined two similar threads but I can’t say for sure.
@hailtopitt1787, thank you for the clarification!
Does anyone know how long it takes to get the acceptance letter in the mail? I got my acceptance e-mail on the 22nd, but I’m still waiting for my letter to come. Has anyone else received theirs?
Mine came in the mail about a week later. Hope you get yours soon!
Thanks for letting me know!
@gipmaster I had got my email the 22nd as well an I got my letter on the 24th so hang in there!
The email acceptance for my D came two days AFTER her buttons showed on the portal but the letter in the mail came almost 10 days AFTER the email. So hang in there!
