Waitlisted!
D got waitlisted too…
@cashme what was your stat?
Last year, zero applicants got in from the waitlist.
So I guess that’s it folks!
Should’ve interviewed and shown ANY kind of interest
@hoshjoshe
Definitely my GPA that screwed me.
It’s equivalent to 3.5-3.6
ACT: 34
@cashme Yep, i guess probably that was the issue. I couldn’t arrange for an interview due to personal commitments, but I really wanted to be there. Would you suggest me to write them an email, considering the fact that I really want to be there?
i got waitlisted, too
@hoshjoshe I guess you could try.
But again, not one student was accepted off the waitlist last year. And 1200 students were on it. I doubt it’d make any kind of difference.
Is the Rush Rhees Scholarship 20,000$ each year?
Can someone please try to help me locate the merit scholarship information on the MyROC website? I am getting so frustrated!
@ManaManaWegi yep
@rahaffff I’m really sorry to hear that but don’t let it kill your mojo. I got rejected at washington too yesterday. We gotta have faith, we gotta have faith.
@JemmaSimmons congratulations! Do you mind telling me where you found the scholarship information on MyROC?
So how prestigious is this scholarship? (I got it) How many students get it? What are the larger scholarships if there are some?
@californiagirl123 On the navy blue strip across the top of the portal (like where items is), I have a tab called Merit.
There would be another button called Merit Notification on the “You have received a decision screen”.
@cashme Might not be zero from the waitlist this year. Many are forecasting that some international students will be deterred or blocked by our new Administrations immigration policies, and colleges may be pulling from waitlist if spots are vacated. Kind of an unfortunate thing to hope for, but it’s a possibility for this year’s WL applicants. UR normally has a fairly large international student population.
so sad right now, UR is my favorite college out of the ones i’ve applied to
I got the Whipple Science and Research Scholarship ($21k)! :x Free money :x
I got accepted on March 9. My GPA is 4.0 and my SAT is 1260, but my extracurriculars and recommendations were 20/10. I got the 14k Joseph C. Wilson Change Scholarship. It’s kind of weird seeing people with higher stats than me get waitlisted or rejected though. I guess numbers aren’t everything.
