Actually, the email for access to the FA site was not sent to my S’s email where all his other admissions stuff was sent, but rather to MY (his mom’s) email which seemed really weird to us. Not even a copy to his email. (My email was in the parent-info section of his CommonApp,) Something to be aware of…

To everyone: Do y’all think it’s possible that UofR accepts students in need of financial aid assistance and then does not grant them aid? Is UofR Need Aware? Cuz I’m pretty excited I got admitted, yet I don’t know if I will receive a financial aid package (that’s why I don’t want to get my hopes up).
Oh, BTW I’m Mexican… From what I understand Rochester considers Mexicans and Canadians for financial aid (alongside US applicants).
@Homeostasis101 when did your S receive admittance? My D was accept 3/8 and we have received nothing in the mail.

@Magnamious Idk man lol. My family’s income is way too low to attend without aid. (< 15k$) I’m still awaiting on the financial aid package.
I’m an international so chances are vague they’ll give good aid.

Got notified, the information is a little to the right on your menu under merit notification. I received the $15,000 Dean’s Scholarship!
@Smartisan5 considering U of R is really the only one of the schools you listed that actually has an engineering program, it’s U of R. Colgate University and Hamilton College are Liberal Arts schools.
Has anyone else still not received an admissions decision? I’ve been checking myROC every day for the last few weeks and I’m still on step 4.
@selizabeth I believe all of the batches were sent out on a Friday! This Friday (if not sooner) has to be the date they notify students bc it’s the 31st. Good luck!

Does anybody know if all of the scholarship info has been sent? I got a research grant but heard nothing about merit scholarships. Does that mean I did not get anything?
I was also wondering if there were still scholarships to be sent out…I was just accepted today but there wasn’t anything about merit or need based aid. Would merit have come with my acceptance if I was getting any?
@selizabeth I got accepted last week and I just got my merit scholarship this week. I got an email notification sent to me so I would wait another week and see.
