Hey, I was wondering whether any of you have heard anything back about your waitlist status yet?
@KoliInd99 2 of my friends got rejected recently but i didnt hear anything yet
@Meshmesha okay I see… It’s an endless wait it seems :-/
@KoliInd99 Are you still waiting too?
@Meshmesha yes… if its fortunately or unfortunately it is yet to be revealed…
Any news from admissions?
just called recently and they told me all decisions are going to be out in July or August
But does anyone have any idea on why they haven’t replied us. Because, the general reply deadline for admitted students is May 1.
@LiveUniverse May 1 is the universal reply date for admitted students. There is no deadline for notifying students off of the waitlist, although I admit that UR is running a bit late with this. I hope that you have already deposited at another school.
I think UR is running a bit late because they might be considering us for the January 2018 option, i.e. , for those of us who opted for it…
I would gladly take that January 2018 option.; I hope it goes all cool for us.
Hey guys, any news on the waitlist? Anyone heard anything?
I heard back on July 7th via email. The email says the class is full and that henceforth they are not considering y application. I applied for BME.
@italianno Well, an irony. I emailed them about the same time and they replied that the class is still fairly full and that they have not yet sent out a final notification to all students on the waitlist.
Just got the notification; their list’s full.
When I applied, I did just the common application. Rochester then emailed me to confirm that they had received my app. With the link I received in the email, I created my application portal.
Concerning their receipt of your documents, I don’t think they have any problem with the docs covered in the common application. From my experience, test scores must be sent by the testing agency. Whatever is still required of you will be displayed on your portal.
@LadyKiller Just complete the Common App and wait 10 days more less to receive an email from the University that announces the setup for your account on MyRoc is ready.
Then, complete it and MOST IMPORTANTLY, don’t forget to apply for an INTERVIEW on MyRoc.
Good luck, and by the way, I’d like to know the story besides your nickname.
If anyone got financial aid last year did it continue in the 2nd year?..just want to know the aid point of view if university keeps their word
D’s a junior at UR. Her merit aid has remained steady throughout her three years. She actually qualified for some additional financial aid her junior year. And her travel abroad semester—junior year spring—was the least expensive yet because of an additional scholarship from DIS.
@EllieMom Since your daughter is a Junior at UR, can you share her experience. My son has got the admission for 2018 Fall and having a hard time deciding on it. How is the college placement at U of R, do companies know about this college. We are in west coast and have good UC’s instate as an option so pretty hard to convince ourselves for this college financially.
