That is interesting if she selected undecided. Hmmmm
Even if she chose declared, she still had to select a first choice college (at least, that was required through the common app).
Congrats on the acceptance. My daughter didnât receive any merit, either. She has a friend who was accepted today test optional with a lower gpa who claims to have received the $40k in scholarships. I just donât understand it. This girl has a sibling at UofSC. Maybe thatâs why?
Sorry, âundeclaredâ
Same here for my daughter. Accepted to UofSC, still waiting to hear from Ohio State.
Twins OOS - One accepted with 86k offer. One deferred with 1310 SAT.
Is it correct that test scores must be submitted (even for test optional applicants) in order to be considered for scholarships?
Iâve heard this as a rumor, but it doesnât seem like it would be true. Essentially it is saying that USC Admissions doesnât need test scores, but USC Financial Aid department does need test scores. Can anyone confirm?
I am so sorry - that must be really tough when one sibling gets good news and the other one is disappointed. Ours submitted 1390 SAT which we thought was decent enough for this school to submit, particularly since he is applying for humanities majors and English section of SAT was 730. Application numbers are just crazy again this year, so anything can happen. Just difficult for it to be during final exams.
Daughter accepted OOS for Marine Science! No scholarships info in the letter, so unfortunately for now U of SC moves to the bottom of the list. Also, daughter loathes the idea of a language requirementâŠ
Hang in there everyone! Congrats to those accepted!
My son was accepted to the school of business with an undecided major within the school. That must have been how she submitted her application. She selected the school of business but wasnât sure yet which discipline she wanted within the school. Congratulations to her!
OOS Son accepted to Darla Moore. 4.0 uw/4.15w gpa, 1490 SAT. Nine AP courses, varsity basketball, NHS. Got in-state tuition, now have to wait for Honors decision and other scholarships.
We are OOS. My daughter got into the biomedical engineering program with no test scores. Scholarship and tuition reduction, etc.
Test scores do not need to be submitted for scholarships as my daughter applied with no scores and received a generous scholarship.
I have confirmed that this is false. Test optional applicants donât need to submit test scores for scholarship consideration.
OOS TO Deferred as well
Any idea when deferred will hear back?
They said decisions will be posted by mid-March
admitted OOS (north carolina) for Computer Science. Also got minimum 86k offer with tuition match with in-state students.
1450 SAT, top 7% of class, 3.97 UW and 4.54 W. Good ECs and essay.
Congratulations to everyone who got accepted
On the contrary, depending on what your scores are, it seems you are more likely to get a scholarship without submitting the test scores. My daughter (4.15 GPA/1300 SAT/rigorous transcript full of honors and AP) was accepted without a scholarship. She has a friend (3.75 GPA/1000 SAT not submitted/no honors or AP) was accepted with $40k scholarship. I definitely regret sending her scores, as it clearly hurt her merit opportunities.
Did anyone accepted as TO receive $86k language?
