Was that with the 40k or 86k offer? Thank you!

Our son got deferred today. Needless to say he is bummed. He has a 3.7 GPA and 1300 SAT and is OOS. Anyone with experience with this at SC have any encouraging words for him? He has a plan B but you know plan B is never as good as plan A. Congrats to everyone accepted today.

Deferred:( Does anyone know how many applicants tend to get accepted in the March round after deferral?

I am sorry. Send mid year grade updates and demonstrate continued interest. They do pull off the deferred list when the time comes in the next round.

I’d tell him that many applicants got deferred and that he should be proud of his GPA and SAT score and that they give him a good shot of being accepted in March. Also tell him that even if he winds up being rejected, where he attends undergrad school isn’t nearly as important as many people think.

This message was meant for SoCal2024

His school counselor will confirm it later in the year.

If taking any DE classes - keep those grades up as SC maintains a lifetime GPA that gets calculated into the mix for later years.

Ugh, I mean Izzie2

Apologies if this sounds clueless
it is
But my daughter was accepted into the Darla Moore School of Business. What does this mean for her exactly?
She also received the 40k award. TIA

$86k offer

Thank you!

She applied for a major within that department and was accepted into that dept.

There are additional tiers and scholarships within some departments and Darla Moore has personally funded many at the USC business school. There is international internships that are fully and partially funded, etc

Wonder if anyone got rejected, or it was mostly acceptances and deferrals.

Her major “undeclared” but admitted to the School of Business. That’s where I’m confused.
