Awesome. When did you find out?
Heard with the Early Action wave. Believe it was December 13th?
That is insane! I’m sure your son will eventually get in but kinda makes you wonder if something was wrong because that makes literally no sense.
Were there supposed to be notifications from the Honors College on 1/15? I thought that was what my son said, but I haven’t heard anything…
The website says all honors college decisions by mid February
There was a round of Honors college acceptances in late Dec and there will be another round in early Feb.
I got invited for top scholar weekend? Anyone else?
Was it an email invite or on the portal?
i didn’t get anything but according to other accepted honors kids that got invited there was an email at around 5:56 telling them that there was a status update and it was an invitation.
@idkwhatsup Congratulations! Are you instate or out of state?
This is how I got it.
Thanks! I am OOS.
Congrats!
Did anyone attend the admitted student event this weekend? We are signed up for the March weekend.
Trying to understand timing of the Saturday event to determine if we need to stay a second night.
If you attended, what time did it end on Saturday?
Thanks in advance.
No need for second night. It ended at about 3pm
Thanks. We may need to find a place on the ride home. We are OOS with a 9+ hour drive. Would normally fly, but we are stopping at another school on the way down.
You can definitely roll Saturday. The two organized block sessions are in the morning, ending by 12:30 p.m. And then it’s pretty much ala carte the rest of the day. We we’re finished seeing everything we wanted to see by 1:30 p.m. We thought the experience was solid and it put USC at the top of my daughter’s list. Highly recommend attending.
Were you able to tour dorms, classrooms, athletic facilities, etc.?
@SMkut, See you in March!
Yes. In addition to the two hour-long information sessions that you picked to attend (we did Business School and Honors College), they offered guided campus tours, guided tours of several residence halls, and self-guided access to athletic/fitness facilities. They had several rooms open at the Russell House Union where you could ask questions about financial aid, scholarships, admissions logistics, etc.
