Auburn was her #1. Has been waiting out her deferral and admitted for Spring. This admission cycle has been crazy for sure!
Disregard this post. I called and it turns out my daughter handed in the application 9 minutes past the deadline so thereās no guarantee they will even review her application! What a waste of $65! Iām not too happy with her right nowā¦
has anyone not heard back yet? My daughter has not received anything from them yet. She applied Regular Decision.
Fingers crossed your DD will get shifted to Fall start! My DD is declining Auburn and chess pieces will be moving all over between now and June. Best of luck!
We didnāt realize that SCās regular decision deadline was so early. We applied a couple of days after the deadline. They accepted our application for fall 22 and took the fee. We havenāt heard anything yet. Have regular decisions been released yet?
Yes, regular decision was released a few weeks ago I believe - my daughter was waitlisted.
DD applied EA and found out in December, I think. I looked at last yearās thread and RD was released on 3/15 and merit info for the first wave of applicants was released on 3/8.
It looks like this year a 2nd wave of acceptances also came out 3 weeks ago. Good Luck! If you applied a few days after the deadline and donāt hear in mid-March, follow up with Admissions. Hopefully you donāt have a highly competitive major or if you do, hopefully a lot of applicants will decline.
It looks they are rolling out decisions today. My daughter just received her acceptance after being deferred in December.
Are you sure merit info has been released for the first round? We havenāt seen anything yet. Just the initial letter in December that said āYou will receive at least X amountā. Not sure where to find the final number
It has not been released. My comments above were last yearās dates.
Is there anyone with a kid in the Engineering program (heās specifically interested in Computer engineering) that has a minute to chat?
Iāve got an OOS daughter who is a senior in DMSB (she turned down Kelley and Fisher for warmer weather!) if anyone has questions about that.
Aha makes sense. A few years ago this was released in late February. Hope it comes out soon!
My son was also admitted for Spring at Auburn after being deferred! This is all such madness!
I applied 12/1 RD and have yet to hear back, should I contact the admissionsā office or wait it out? They received all of my items on 12/1 according to the portal but there is no information about decision release. I had no idea schools took people off of the waitlist before regular decisions came out. Congrats to all accepted so far!
Capstone decisions are out with scholarship information. Email notification.
Son got capstone and a scholarship tonight.
DS got scholarship, not enough to make U of SC a contender. Heās very disappointed. We have other options to explore. Auburn offered a better scholarship, as did others. And VT is in-state for usā¦ Time to start the touring process
Dd got capstone and 3k. In state
what is capstone scholar? Is it extra money on top of the in-state tuition?
Capstone is a 2-year academic enrichment program. You can also live in Capstone housing which is suites style with a dining hall attached to the building.
No Capstone here. He got $2k plus in state tuition. If I understand correctly, he can add the $6k for NMF on top of it as well. We will see how it ends up after the visit in April
