University of Texas, A&M - Chances?

Opinion on admission chances to Texas colleges of TAMU and University of Texas. I am in a high ranking high school, and was wondering if these schools take into account your high school?

Admission Statistics:
**My major I put down for UT was Civil Engineering/Ocean Eng and TAMU I put down Civil Engineering/Mechanical Eng. Do they account your choice of major in their decision?
*Asian-I humor myself wondering if UT needs any more of us asians infiltrating their campusxD

1) VERY competitive graduating class in a difficult HS/in-state

2) A GPA of I think 3.95...
-I'm not sure if this is this is weighted or unweighted, so if someone could explain this to me that'd be awesome. If it helps, my grade is around ~97/98 of 100.

3) 1st quartile with a rank of 62/500.
-I was recently bumped down, so 62 is the rank I sent to the colleges :/ I know, stupid of me because I was last minute on applications

4)SAT Scores (CR/Math):
-1250 is my highest of the two times I took it, this during fall of senior year, le sigh, no subject tests accordingly

5)Essays :
I was pretty confident on my essays, as I had a top notch person edit my essays and critique them. I sent all 3, does anyone know if UT and TAMU actually read all 3 of them? And do they base acceptance on your essays if your scores aren't spectacular?

6)Extra:
-Band/Marching Band for 7 years and marching band for all 4 years
-Hosa for a couple years
-Math Club senior year
-Asian Club senior year
-Couple hours of intern/job at an accounting place during summer
-Some hrs of volunteer work, not a lot
-AP Honors with Distinction
-Perfect Attendance!:)
-NEHS senior year

7)Classes:
4-APWorld/Soph
5-APUSH/APLanguage/Junior
3-APBio/APStat/Junior

bump, anyone?

haha at first I didn’t see you said CR/M so I thought it was your total score for a moment.

TAMU: low reach/high match
UT: low reach

Engineering is very good at both schools so it’s competitive.

Can you explain to me the low reach/high match category? I haven’t been on college confidential too long
