University of Texas at Austin Class of 2023 Admissions

my guess is she has been admitted and it changed because she needs to submit her official transcript at the end of her senior year.

This is definitely a new development as of this morning - yesterday everything was under the “done” tab and has been since Aug 6th. We uploaded her transcript in Aug, when she first applied and then it looks like her HS uploaded it in Oct as well. I tried calling admissions to see if they could tell me what was going on and just to make sure we didn’t need to upload it again but I only get busy signals. I like the thought that maybe its a sign that notifications are getting ready to happen, but it worries me that it hasn’t happened to anyone else.

Well… her transcript just moved back up under the “Done” tab. Who knows if it means anything - I guess we’ll see in the next few weeks. My son graduated from UT last year and I know his year people started hearing early November. We’re keeping our fingers crossed.

@mamah and @StacysMom24 , this sounds very promising! Especially since the scholarship applications close tomorrow. The scholarship committees will hopefully get busy on November 2 and will need to know who has been admitted! @mamah, you have to keep us posted!! As soon as your daughter get admitted, we want to know!!

still think its a good sign but i would be stressed too. still think its because she will have to sunmit her FINAL official transcript. hang in there. if i see any changes in my daughters i will post. we are oos.

@mamah , did her “things to do” tab disappear now?

yes, her “Things to Do” tab is gone now…

Attended Plan II info session with DS on Monday. Loved it. Very impressed with the way P2 gives you an intimate, tight-knit liberal arts college community within the gigantic university. It seemed like every P2 prof knew every student by first name!

No major changes on the portal here, except for the “Things to do” changed to “Done” yesterday…even if everything was submitted in Sept. Oh, last night DS finished TexasExes app. Whew!

@romns116 Glad to see others are just now finishing the Texas Exes app. Our son just finished his essays last night and is submitting them today. Been very nerve-racking the past week. I’m pretty sure we’re more stressed about the whole process than he is. He keeps telling us to settle down and that deadlines are there for a reason…

Also, his “Things to do” tab disappeared as well.

I have to say, it freaks me out every time I come to this page and see my little notifications bell lit up with 9 new messages since the day or 2 before. I’m ready for this to be over.

just logged into my daughters UT EID homepage and just found that it has now updated information with welcome message and counselor assigned. My daughter was an automatic admit

@texasex777 , Congratulations!! Thanks so much for posting this! Now, I will be obsessively checking all day! haha Did your daughter get accepted into her major too or just the University itself?

@texasex777 - The UT account home page has the counselor names and welcome messages. Are you sure you checked the application status? Can you please check again and update here. My son is auto admit as well, would like to know if anyone else got auto accepted

@texasex777 What page are you looking at? Are you sure you’re on the “MyStatus” page? Nothing has changed on ours and we are auto admit as well.

@texasex777 yes what page are you on? auto admit as well, but nothing has changed

Click on the home icon in the upper right hand corner and that will take you to the UT Direct homepage. Select the “Be A Longhorn” tab in the upper left corner and on that page under UT Connections it states: “Welcome to Be A Longhorn.” Right below that is the name of the applicant’s admission’s counselor.

We don’t have a “Be a Longhorn” tab yet on the UT Direct homepage. When I searched for the “Be a Longhorn” page it took me to a page that says we don’t have an account set up because my son’s application is still under review. His application was complete on September 7th. At least there is movement. Congrats to everyone who has that link now. That must mean something!

@UTDad1995Grad, the info on the Be A Longhorn tab has been available in my child’s account since he originally submitted his application. It’s not a sign of a pending admission decision. Sorry, I should have clarified this earlier.

From my recollection of when my eldest son was notified of his acceptance to Texas in November of 2015, I don’t recall there being a “tell” like the appearance of the six tabs on A&M’s portal.

ugh im so nervous, i believe they are starting to release decisions. they started tweeting from a ut2023 account on twitter saying congratulations to everyone admitted

please, everyone, post updates if you hear or notice anything! thanks

@fatherof2boys Thanks! You made my day. I was starting to feel sorry for myself… I mean my son  I think I should sign off for a week and then come back to the page. It is consuming too much of my time and his. He’s now checking everyday because I told him he should hear something by mid-October several weeks ago.
