University of Texas at Austin: Jester vs. Castilian

*This is ONLY if I go to UT! I'm not sure yet. :) :( :?

OK, so I applied for UT housing yesterday. :/ Ridiculously late, I know, but I thought that

A) UT was like every single other college (where you apply for housing AFTER being admitted)

and B) Dorms were the same (like at pretty much every single other college….)

Don't worry, I called admissions. I still can get into a house, but it won't be the really nice ones…. :/

So I think I'll end up having a choice between…

Jester or Castilian. Talk about night and day! UT is in-state, so I doubt my mom will care about the more expensive one. (Actually, I know she won't.)

Here's the dif:

Jester is an overcrowded, hot and sweaty but undeniably fun dorm. Castilian is an off-campus, colder and more spacious dorm that is kind of fun.

From what I understand…

This is only for one year. Normally, I am WAY more responsible. I just didn't bother to check.

I think…Jester might be the better pick. I'll meet more people, and it's in the middle of everything.

But I would like advice and possibly critiques of each dorm!
