University of Texas at Austin: Should I even apply?

SOME OF MY STATS

GPA: 3.65
ACT: 26
CLASS RANK 18/236

I'm thinking of applying to the University of Texas at Austin. The application is due today. I would need a minimum 15,000 dollar annual scholarship to attend. I would be an out-of-state student applying to the McCombs School of Buisiness.

Is it worth the 60 bucks? And I would have to write an essay today.

No, answers like "It can't hurt." I need to know if I have a shot. BTW, I missed the scholarship priority deadline.

Thanks for the help guys.

I go to UT. Honestly, I don't think I would try it. UT loves class rank, and those who get into McCombs are normally like top 2 or 3 percent, and that is for in state. Your test score is a lower than the McCombs average as well. Into UT maybe but not McCombs.

Okay, thank you.

Couple that with the fact that VERY few people get scholarships to UT business (UT is stingy as heck!).

My son was a valedictorian with a 30 ACT and didn't get a cent. So, if you need merit money, I wouldn't spend the 60 dollars :(
