Does anyone have information on this school?
Other schools I'm applying to include University of Washington and Chapman College. Is this generally considered a good school?

I was just very suprised to find that they don't have their own sub-board here, it's silly, but that fact was making me doubt if I should apply.

My brother goes there. He is from Michigan and is going there for their 3 + 3 dental program. He likes it, but it is VERY rigorous academically. The campus is small (~200 acres). If you have any specific questions, just post them and I'll ask him. Here's some break down on the school from PR:

Enrollment: 3,436
Average GPA: 3.49
Average SAT: 1188/1600; 25%-75%: 1080-1300
Average ACT: 25; 25%-75%: 23-28

The school has a large Asian population (29%), which contributes to its competativeness. They are all pre-pharm and pre-dent. I am in no way stereotyping...it's just the way the school is.

The school attracts many top students because of their multiple degree programs (dental, pharm, business).

Only 43% of the students graduate in four years.

Well, he isn't the party type, but he has several friends and is involved in several activities on campus. Because his program allows him to maintain a lower GPA for admissions into the dental school, he hasn't had to study non-stop. However, I think if you were not in such a program, you may have to cut down on the social aspects. He is a smart kid, but there a brighter kids who don't have to study as much.

Nope, they don't have a medical school and are not in partnership with any.

They have accelerated/guaranteed programs in a lot of fields though: dentistry (5-7 year DS), law (6 year JD), business (5 year MBA), dental hygiene (3 year), pharmacy (5-7 year)...maybe a few more...check the site.

These programs aren't the hardest to get into, but they are TOUGH.
