University of the Pacific , Stockton CA

i got the email today too. waitlisted for pre pharm. ^same question. How many people do they accept on waitlist? And how many people are wailtlisted?

I got waitlisted too for Biology. I feel like I should have applied as an undecided though…

From what people have told me, waitlisting is pretty much a nicer way of saying you got denied. I don’t know how true that it, but I know unless you actually do something to help increase your chances of getting off that waitlist (like maybe give new info Pacific doesn’t know about like awards you won and such), you aren’t going to get off that waitlist anytime soon.

Borflis you are the smart end of the hammer that hit the nail lol… anyways yes you are right. pacific only allows 200 and i literally mean 200-450 health majors enter as undergrads a year your "waitlist of over 5000+ people wait listed will be like a chance in heaven to drop gold upon your pot of gold to enter… trust me you won’t be that lucky and I am blunt for a reason… move on and don’t have your hopes up and have a better chance some other time.

Accepted to UOP 3 months ago.

I didn’t get any email from them yet! D: I still have UCI as backup though…

whiteforce the waitlist is not 5000 perhaps you are mistaken and are talking about the ucs. i called them today and they said the waitlist is short only 200 people. and 30% are accepted. so don’t just throw numbers out there if you don’t know.

and the waitlist was 200 people for ALL majors not just pre-health. so no need to brag or put anyone down just cuz you were accepted.

My friend only got notified today (4/4) that he is on the wait-list for pre-pharm. And I spoke to someone in the office today that they are behind schedule because of the volume of applicants and are still sending out notification letters this week. So just have to be patient.

Btw what is 200 times 20+ majors? I am just curious, oh btw UOP was a breeze, Pepperdine would of been more of a challenge LOL! but anyways when you are accepted tell me what your university email is and ill try to email you :P… goodluck

not 200 times 20 get your math right. i said there are only 200 ppl on the waitlist for all majors total and combined, not just pre pharm/ pre health. maybe it was easy for you since you’re not doing pre pharm. i dnt lie about my results, i got into all the other pharmacy schools i applied to, even rutgers… and i don’t give out my email to strangers sorry! anyways, i don’t want to argue over this. best of luck to you as well!

just trying to keep a civil convo here…

I got accepted and got my letter on April 4th (I am a transfer student transferring from Santa Clara University to UOP). For all you guys that got waitlisted, don’t give up hope. I have friends who were waitlisted for both Cal and Stanford when they first applied for college 2 years ago and still got in, remember not everyone who got accepted will attend and spaces do indeed open up. Ignore this “Whiteforce” its obvious he wasn’t hugged as a child and is overcompensating by bragging about getting in early.

lol thanks! :)

Has anyone received their financial aid packet from UOP yet?

I was at preview day yesterday and there were only about 50-60 pre-pharm students there. I would think if you are really interested in attending the school you would make an attempt to go, unless of course you live far away. So I think there is a good chance that 20-30% of the accepted will decline. I was also interested in learning they let in only 110 pre-pharm students, but I can be wrong. So those waitlisted, don’t give up hope!

I was also at profile day! I was one of the 60 pre-pharm kids there  I’m currently deciding between UCLA and UoP. I think pharmacy is ultimately what I’ll be doing in the future, but I know i also want that college vibe from UCLA. Stockton is not pleasant AT ALL comparing to LA, and it seems like its a commuter school. It’s a really hard decision for me, and I know others are going through the same thing. I was wondering what you guys think I should do?

OMG!!! I GOT IN!!! thanks for the encouragement and positivity guys! i’m going there for sure! although i realized pharm school is pretty damn expensive at $72k per year!! :O

Fantastic!!! (but 72K… ) Anyway, great news!

(I’m sure Whiteforce will be along any time to apologize to both of us.)
